I for one welcome these changes. They have given their reasons for making them, and clearly stated that although there may be a portion of the community that dislikes these changes, they are for the better.

I just have to say though, I find it quite funny when people assume they know how much effort goes into these changes, and think that SE is taking the "easy way out" by scrapping the old system and completely making a new one. How is that "the easy way out"? The vast majority of the people that try and look at the technical side of these changes has absolutely no idea what they are talking about, and are just vomiting out words in a poor attempt to seem slightly more intelligent.

It has been said several times to the people that have asked for changes in this game "If you don't like this game, you are free to leave" or "Go back to WoW!!!", well, in this situation I think the proper retort would be "If you don't where this game is going, you are free to leave" and "Go back to FFXI!!!". lol.

I know, this game was made in part to attract some of the players from FFXI, but it was also made to attract fans of MMOs and the Final Fantasy series in general. They are simply trying to make a game that will appeal to more people, trying to make a game that can stand on its own two feet in a market flooded with other MMOs, but more specifically, they are trying to make a game that is appealing to people other than yourselves.
