    Language barrier etiquette

Transferred to Tonberry as I am based in Australia. Just wondering if there is an unwritten etiquette re interactions with individuals that speak different languages? Particularly I am referring to dungeons, but happy to hear all tips.

I have the general <Greet> and auto-translate going. I try to use emotes. But as a tank, I find it hard to know whether people want a fast/slow run, or want to map and get all available loot.

Any more experienced players, or bi-lingual players have some tips?

From my experience, most of the time, we tanks, will ended up with jp healers/ dps.
and they actually respect us, tanks, as the pt leader.
What i usually do is i check what my team comp is, wether we have a blm for massive pulls, how the healer's and dps' gears looks like, what weapon are they holding.
I always do this in every start of duty roulette ex, for other duty roulette it's pretty straight forward.

For low lvl dungeons, try to mark numbers to the mobs and don't do massive pulls.

For greetings, a simple "Let's do it!!" at the start of the dungeon and "Good Game!!" at the end will do, of course both with auto translate function.

I just ask if they want to do large pulls/speed run at the beginning.
If the greetings/responses are predominantly in Japanese, ask if they are ok with large pulls - "まとめて いいですか?"(Is it ok to group them up?).
If your healer responds in the affirmative with "はい"(Yes) or "お願いします"(If you would be so kind), then you're good.
Else, just play it by ear. I usually ramp up/slow down as we go based on what the party does with the first few packs of trash.

As for the map clears/loot, I just do a normal run unless someone specifically asks for it. If they do, by all means accede.
I find people normally ask for full clears/mapping in Low Level Dungeons/Coil Turns (e.g. First Room/Morbol Seedling Hatching in Aurum Vale), but not so much in other stuff.

It helps to have a google translate window open if you need help understanding Japanese. Whilst not always accurate, it points you in the right direction.

8 man party tank etiquette that I can think of on top of my head are as follows:
    - Starting the dungeon with {Let's do it!} as upon observation, Japanese players do it as well just to be courteous.
    - Type MT (Main Tank) or ST (Support Tank or Offtank for us) at the beginning of the fight
    - Macro your Provoke with something short and sweet like "{Provoke}<t><se.7>" that way, you can grab people's attention and let them know you want to swap or you're on top of grabbing enmity off other players
    - Always take the run slow first and gauge your run depending on the team's performance. As long as you don't lose aggro or see the healer struggling and dps not lacking, they're generally happy to do a faster run with you
