I can assure you I have my own "real problems" and support ocean conservation. i live in a state where Shark Fin Soup was banned. I live in a country where most of the sharks killed for their fins are on the endangered species list. So I wonder why my state had to ban the actual soup to begin with, but that's another story. I'm not sure what traveling and protesting in the far east would accomplish but getting myself arrested or shot.

It makes no difference to me how many virtual animals you all kill. I'll gladly join you. Except for turtles. I'm kind of partial to turtles.

My issue is the language in the description of the item. It perpetuates an old tired lie that justifies a barbaric practice. I can't help but believe it was put their on purpose.

Just because people disagree with you makes them trolls? If you don't want disagreements to a post, dont make the post on a public forums as everyone has different opinions, some will agree, others wont. If you post ONLY expecting acceptance and agreement, you are on the wrong planet.

Common trend I am seeing now-a-days. People investing so much into their argument that an attack on it becomes twisted into an attack on themselves.

Uhh, no. Disagreements are understandable. I've responded to the 2 people with enough brain power to actually reply to my post. Most of what you are reading is people just mocking me, making ridiculous assumptions about my life, or making satiric comments.

Sorry, but when OP is a condescending dickhead saying people who disagree with him lack brain power he kind of brings it on himself. Your reasoning is flawed because it's anachronistic. His original post doesn't contain any of that stuff. His second doesn't, either. In fact, this here comes long before he starts firing back at anybody:

Well, this clearly means a lot to you, so I'll try to give a fair shot.

The description is as follows:
"The massive fin of a megalodon, boiled in a rich Far Eastern broth until soft and gelatinous. "
This tells me two things:
-The broth is from the Far East, likely in reference to the location of the real world dish.
-It makes the fin jelly like.

That's really it. Nothing for the flavor, just basic facts about this fantasy dish. Broth being rich is a pretty generic descriptive. It hardly makes me want to go out and down every last liquid miracle of gooey spongy delight that it apparently isn't. Hell, I've hear water called rich before. Water.


This game is set in an old fake world with all manor of vivid descriptions. Calling a broth rich in a videogame will likely not further the mistreatment of our tasteless water tiger friends.

There are many places to take a stand for the better treatment of marine livestock, but this game is not one of them.
