    FORFEIT BUTTON PLEASE

Can we please have a forfeit button, so if we are waiting in an hour long Queue and playing Triple Triad to pass the time we wont get locked out of clicking Commence. Just wasted an hour long queue time trying to get out of Triple triad so I could accept my queue for Labryinth of The Ancients. Needless to say I missed it...

It angered me so much I broke my mouse in frustration :x Thankfully I had a back up mouse.

I would say yes this would be nice if you are playing against an NPC.

but a no against other players.

Actually most online card games do have a concede button.

Since there is no cost involved in starting a game with another player, and the fact that the winner earn some MGP, a forfeit button in a Player VS Player TT game could be easily exploitable.
Plus, if you remove the MGP in case of a forfeited game, the looser can easily deny a potential well-deserved victory from the winner by pressing the button just before losing.

So, in case of Player VS Player games, the forfeit button would need quite a bunch of restrictions. Either a number of uses per day, or a removal of the forfeit button after a set number of turns, a MGP penalty for the player to forfeit, etc.

I don't think it's terribly exploitable since you can already throw the game if someone is just looking to give away or get quick, free points.

I'm wondering why Triple Triad PvP even works the way it currently does. Surely we should be betting the MGP? So the winner takes the MGP from the loser, not the current situation where MGP appears from nowhere... That would instantly discourage win trading and is honesty how I figured it would work to begin with... What is it with the developers and PvP win trading? They did absolutely nothing about it in Wolves' Den and now they're practically encouraging it with Triple Triad... Some of us would actually like matches to have an element of risk to them...

Yes to a concede button though, had the exact same absurd problem at OP. Triple Triad is the perfect piece of content to have while waiting for queues, yet this sadly ruins that to some degree...

The system we have now encourages people to participate, because you win something either way. If the winner took 180 points from the loser far less people would risk playing, which means far less people to play against.

Not really exploitable. There's a cap to the amount of MGP you can earn by winning against other players, so at worst it means you reach the cap a little bit sooner.

They thought about this sort of thing in advance, so there's really no reason why there shouldn't be a means to concede a match.

    Oh, really?
To be honest, I didn't try to do a lot of Player VS Player games since I wanted the Bahamut card from the king. I only did the 5 first wins to get the MGP bonus against another human player, then I saw that the winning prize was down to 25 MGP, so I stopped there.

But if you say that, after a few games, this 25 MGP winning prize goes away and let a net 0 MGP per game, then, indeed a forfeit button will not be exploitable.

A forfeit button that costs MGP would easily fix the "Forfeiting" a game thing to get an edge/more points. If anything, I'm sure giving up a 10 points or something to pull out of a match would be well worth it instead of missing out on a queue and being locked out for 30 minutes. A forfeit button is needed, just for the main reason queue pops especially since the delay to place cards is so long. Even if you spam clicked to try to skip through the card event, you tend to miss the queue cause the delay between placing cards is so long.
