Thanks for the Gold Saucer, devs!

Most things never live up to the hype, but for me, Gold Saucer has. Triple Triad is a lot of fun, collecting cards can be fun, Chocobo Racing is fun (wish there wasn't so much lag), and the mini games are a nice way to waste time while DF pops. Can't wait to see what new games and cards get added in the future

I am hoping they look at Hearthstone - took what is great, and implement some in Triple Triad. There should be options for those who may not want to "grind freaking dungeons - end game raids - extreme primals" to get things done... They really need to put alternate ways - for crafter to get some points after submitting certain items (that are not so easy to craft) - and be able to get their own version of rare weapons that are just as good as the "dungeons crapola" - but take just as long since you have to craft items that are not so easy to make and accumulate points over time. This way you can have weapons + gears from dungeons, crafting quests, "waste of time little activities like gold saucer", PvP, and perhaps gathering + fishing.

But yeah, to your points, for a first launch, Gold Saucer is nicely done. Good amount of "content", and for once, it is not about PEW PEW BIG EPEEN YIHAAAAA ATTACK KILL KILL KILL.

I don't think it's any coincidence that this quest unlocks just before the first dungeons. Great way for dps in their first queues.

I am quite content with this update. Most everything here would be an additional Payed DLC in most other companies. I'm sure triple triad and chocobo racing alone would be stand alones for other companies.

This is worth my Sub, SE. Hats off to ya.

I like it. I find myself queueing for a dungeons/instances for a chance to get a card. And while there seems to be dungeon/trial-only cards, the vast majority of cards can be obtained from npc's

Can't you? I saw a few greens and dark blue Chocobo in the races

The Saucer is great square. It's a really good base for expansion and I can't wait to see where you take it. I just hope some QoL improvements are considered quickly.

The drop rate is extremely high. It barely registers as a grind.

Agreed, I really love both chocobo racing and triple triad. Not a fan of the mini games but great implementation overall guys, keep up the good work. Can't wait for heavensward, the hype is real!

Am I the unique weirdo that didn't even unlock that location yet?... Busy with relics, crafting, gathering, PvP.... (Work + studying IRL after all)...

I guess it was made for people that was either too bored or had nothing to do while waiting for duty finder, but, not my case, whenever I wait for duty finder there's always something to do, either do farm light in a fate, craft new stuff, own market board, go to nodes...
