What does rank do for Chocobos

So far I'm rank 5 but I don't see any upgrades
Do I have to go to a certain place?

Rank gives you some automatic stats and a feeding opportunity. You can feed your racing choco once per rank for bonus stats. They eat the new choco foods tier 1's give +1 to the stat, 2's give +2 and 3's give +3

Also at rank 40 you can retire them to use for breeding to get higher pedigree chocos.

Grade 1 and Grade 2 food is made by culinarians as well. The NPC in golden saucer is for special grade 3.

I never bought any feed yet, but at least I found something I can use for some quick cash =)

People always check the MB first before checking a vendor.

Ya I should have known better. It seemed odd to me that there were already so many listed on the market board.
