i was more saying how i hope the new pets dont get put away after a short time period from them not being as adequate.

It's not a no shit scenario because you already claimed what could "best Garuda", when in fact in almost all scenarios, Ifrit already does.
Only a handful of things cater to Garuda in terms of helping either your DPS or mana management. Whatever they add in, will find its place.

So in other words you sound like an idiot, since at current, each pet has their individual uses, even within the bounds of one fight like T11 or T13 where switching between Garuda and Ifrit can help your DPS depending on your party setup.
