Boot AFKers from Gold Saucer

First, love the gold saucer. Its fantastic.

But getting in and out is extremely difficult. The hype will cool down in a week or two but the servers, like Balmung, that are always at full capacity is a bit of an issue.

There's a limit to how many can get in to the Gold Saucer. Your locked out with "Your destination is congested. Please try again later."

But I've seen people purposely going afk in the Gold Saucer to keep their spot and making it harder for people to get in. This is why the "sign off if afk at certain amount of time" would be really, really useful right now. At the very least, impliment it for the Gold Saucer.

So it can have a steady flow everywhere. Right now? Getting back in is impossible and especially the afkers taking advantage of it.

I've seen other MMOs set it up so autorunning doesn't keep you from going AFK. I haven't tried something like that in this game to see if it works, but it's doable if it's not like that already.

Also, in the event that another patch consisting of only one new zone where most of the new stuff is gets released someday, it would be nice to be able to queue for congested zones.

People having loopholes doesn't mean the idea is bad. It means square should fix the loop holes. Those afk tricks people used are really easy to detect.

They could make 1-3 instances of the Golden Saucer per server, and have an interface resembling an aetheryte crystal to travel between the instances. Much like how theyve done with residential areas and sub divisions.

AFK timer doesn't work that way. AFK timer is based on user input and mouse movement within the game window. Using auto-run or even holding down a movement key with a weight will still have the AFK count down ticking.

For them to bypass this they would need to use illegal things.

Several maintenances happened since christmas without interruptions. And the Christmas issue was a DDoS attack not a maintenance gone wrong anyway. This is simply an issue that happened back in early access too: GS is so active people are afraid if they leave they cant go back in, and therefore they never leave.
