You know, I've actually had a lot of fun playing Triple Triad, even with NPCs.
Except NPCs who use random. Screw those little whoresons, making you pick random cards when they only have 5 to begin with...

The game is fun but the rarity rule is sooo much anoying. You are playing with 1 good card and everything else is your starter kit.
The npcs you are facing arent using the same rule, they only got 5 cards and those are really powerful ones.
Unless they are using the plus rule you are basicly fishing for a win. And if you win, you MAY win a card that you wont be able to use anyway.
I really enjoyed the FF8 game but this one, not that much.
Why can't you ply the game for the game, and not just for the reward? I understand FATEs because there's barely any thinking involved but Triple Triad? It's an actual game (card game) that you actually have to think and plan out. That's the big difference between Atma grinding and card grinding. It's actually a lot more fun! So I am happy to play the game and if I get lucky I'll get the card :P.
Edit: Also, outside of the ridiculous MGP reward prices on some things, ( like the Fenrir mount for instance), RNG is not all that bad ( at least for 3 stars and below) I got Titan in 1/4 tries.

I kind of agree, but at least TT is actually fun...basically you keep doing the same thing over and over and hope that the item you want will drop after 2-3 hours.
why there are so many content in this game that is so painful to play?
always the same thing with boring RNG. Atma, CT/ST/WoD, Triple Triad, Lottery, all different content but designed by the same concept.
Triple Triad is fun but playing with the same NPC for 50+ matches is not fun, and they use the same set of cards in every matches.
people are enjoying it right now, they'll play it for 2-3 days before realize that it's boring.

Oh my god! Randomness at a casino, who would have thought?!?!

Actually, TT isn't the same as the atma grind...
In the atma grind, you do fates and get absolutely nothing for your trouble if there's no atma drop.
In TT, every win gives you more MGP which brings you closer to more packs and ergo more cards.

I kinda agree with the OP. If the hardcore no-lifers cant progress at a reasonable rate, how long do you think the casuals are going to take progressing? This isn't like poetics cap, this is straight up grinding.

Kids these days... introduce any aspect that involves luck, and they start complaining. What happened to the olden days when people played games for the game?
Because kids these days would rather be in control of the game then leave it in the hands of rngesus. Like why would they put the random rule for alot of npcs but said npcs has like a 7 card pool of 3 star cards and higher but we have to pick 1 stars?
Random takes away the fun out of games.

First of all its a mini game that you do not have to play at all to advance your character. If you didn't think playing TT was fun then you wouldn't be playing it a bunch to get cards in the first place.
