    Disable port forwards... that tells the router to forward all that port traffic to a specific IP address, which can break some communications. That is more a band-aid approach to bypassing a router's security for a single system---should really only be used as a test and not a permanent fix. May want to look into your router's other features while in there as well. Disable UPNP, as it has been known to cause issues in the past. Just let the native NAT manage the connections. You may have some options for NAT as well that may have an impact (may see references to Secure NAT and such that can be toggled to see if it helps).

    Also verify that your firewall on the system has an updated exception for the XIV executables--launcher, boot, update, etc. Some firewalls will block executables if they detect the version has changed until you "refresh" the rule.
