I've been able to log in since yesterday. Have not logged in yet today, let me see if I can get in. Yep I can still get in! I feel bad for those of you who still cannot get in.![]()
Could be an issue with your account data. If you've gone through and ruled out the usual suspects (verified firewall/AV/other security software/hardware features, and can trace and ping the servers consistently with acceptable response times and such), then you may need to open a ticket with them through the support portal to make sure there isn't some corruption on your account or within your data that may be preventing you from logging fully into the game.
ok Solved.
I had some 2ndary antivrius on my system(which i never knew about), it went expired last month with its safety features active(not sure how).. it was blocking FFXIV, not sure what the last update did to the inactive antivirus to do this, but it put FFXIV on suspicious program list... thats why even when i disabled my primary antivirus, it still blocked FFXIV.

So I have been having the Same error listed above since the update. I have 2 computers that we play on and my sons is just fine, but I can not get on at all.
I have tried everything above.
I uninstalled my anti-virus
I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it
tried running as admin
I have done everything and I am still not able to get in. it has been since the update.
what other information do I need to give to Square so that they will help me get back into the game?

Disable port forwards... that tells the router to forward all that port traffic to a specific IP address, which can break some communications. That is more a band-aid approach to bypassing a router's security for a single system---should really only be used as a test and not a permanent fix. May want to look into your router's other features while in there as well. Disable UPNP, as it has been known to cause issues in the past. Just let the native NAT manage the connections. You may have some options for NAT as well that may have an impact (may see references to Secure NAT and such that can be toggled to see if it helps).
Also verify that your firewall on the system has an updated exception for the XIV executables--launcher, boot, update, etc. Some firewalls will block executables if they detect the version has changed until you "refresh" the rule.
