Any TT NPC strategies? Triple Triad needs tutorials for the other rules.

Yes I read the brief text descriptions in the challenge window for the other rules, but it was very brief and not worded very well. I figured out Plus by watching a Youtube video someone made on how to beat King Elmer with low level cards, or at least I think as I saw the total sum of your numbers + opponent's numbers on 2 touching sides equaled the same.

But now I'm trying to figure out Same. I thought I understood it, but it doesn't work when I do what the brief text suggests.

I've been playing since patch went live for countless hours now and still cannot beat any NPC except Triple Triad Master. Well okay, I got lucky on Jonas and beat him 1 time of countless plays. Plus and Same seem like RNG, so then how are people abusing it and winning consistently if it's RNG? Are there specific cards and strategies that guarantee more wins than loses to certain NPCs? As for the Open rule, that's no problem as I just need stronger cards.

Same requires touching two cards with the same number as your card.

Yeah that's what I thought, but it didn't change the cards when I did that. O_o Maybe it was a 1 time bug. I'll try again here soon.

This video helped me. But there are lots of combinations not in this video. Many of them you will figure out a placement that will work almost every time you get that placement, but for others you will lose. There is no consistent way to win. Basically I lose more than I win, but am still earning more MGP than I'm losing due to the large payout. The only purpose is to get their cards. I know King has the Godbert and Bahamut card. Not sure about anything else. I got multiple Godberts, but no Bahamut yet.

Or they can just read the forums and/or go to websites that people have set up explaining Triple Triad (some of these are posted on forums too)... but that would take too much work

It seems that some of the rules like Plus and Same have, well, issues. I can make the cards up to have the same factors on plus rule (for instance one card has a side that has a 3, the side of the next card touching it has a 4, then another side of the second card has a 3, and the last card will have a 4, touching the last side of the second card), and it still doesn't work. I've been able to beat King 7 times, but especially since yesterday I have an even harder time doing it.

Honestly never come across any bugs with Plus/Same, but then again I spent hours and hours on FFVIII on this, might have Triple Triad eyes, it's a thing okay ;p
