.....I know what forfeit means.
You have absolutely no proof that if a Forfeit option was added to aid in the OP's request that you will just automatically "get or lose whatever you'd get or lose on any other type of loss."
And since it is VERY easy to just finish a game and accept your queue before being withdrawn, I don't see why they would even waste development time on this. At all. I have no problems catching queues (and it seems most people in this thread don't have a problem either) and I'm on PS4, constricted by using the D-pad to cycle through my options as opposed to just being able to point and click on anything I want.
You are also not adding in the inherent meaning of forfeit either. To forfeit is to give up, more so than taking a deliberate loss. If it was my decision, I wouldn't reward anyone any amount of MGP for giving up.
But that's just me.
This doesn't work on all rulesets though. Sudden Death matches can go on for ages and no amount of slapping down random cards will get you finished before the DF timer expires.Seriously guys...
If your queue pops just start throwing down cards. This isn't FF8 where you lose them, and you may even just win!
I treat them like speed rounds /shrug
It sounds like a Forfeit button would actually be worse than what you can currently do. Forfeit will most likely make you lose your entry fee, whereas even a loss gives you most of it back....
There is no downside to having a forfeit option. If you would rather throw down random cards then go ahead and do that, but there are times when a forfeit option is necessary. There is no reason why they shouldn't add it.
That would be a bigger rewrite of the queue system as opposed to a far simpler forfeit button.
Im not sure if it was the specific match i was in,, (the training match) but it wouldnt let me cancel the match to enter DFSeriously guys...

That training match includes pauses to display the instructions, so the NPC's moves don't come immediately like they do in most other matches.
In most NPC Triple Triad matches, you can finish quickly just by playing your own cards immediately whenever it's your turn, because the NPCs will be doing the same. The training match is an exception because of those pauses for instructions. And as Alberel mentioned, any match with the Sudden Death rule can become an exception if you keep ending in a draw. (The Sudden Death rule is that a draw forces a rematch, so the game doesn't end until there's a clear winner or until you have several (five IIRC) draws in a row.) I haven't really dealt with all the different special rules yet, so I'm not sure if there are other exceptions as well, but there are at least those two.
Why wasn't this implemented in the first place? That should have been a no-brainer!Greetings,
We are looking into improving the Duty Finder as we move forward and we're checking whether or not we can provide measures for when players are matched while being engaged in content (for example, Triple Triad matches, during cutscenes, while crafting, etc.). Hang tight a bit longer and if we should receive more information, we'll be sure to pass it along.
Actually, I'd love to know where I am in the queue, just like when you're logging in. At least then, you have a better idea of, "Okay, I can dig my heals into FATE grinding or triple triad matches" versus "Hm, is it matching me yet? Is it matching me yet? Is it matching me yet?"
Glad to see it's being addressed. I just hope it's addressed without giving additional time allowed before clicking. I feel like it's quite enough of a wait as it is for the other 3, 7, or 23 players in the queue with you. Honestly, I think a "forfeit" button would be the best way to fix it for TT in particular. I've noticed that the queues have pretty much sucked ever since the game was introduced. People taking forever to commence, letting the timer run out and never clicking, etc. It's made even light farming really slow, whether it be PF or DF.Greetings,
