This is just general and personal feedback. So please understand that this does not reflect the views of anyone else but myself.
So far Ive run around and tackled various "mini-games". In otherwords, Moogle's Paw, Cuff-a-Cur, etc. I feel that the cost vs reward for these mini games (in relation to the prizes available from vendors) makes them pretty pointless. They're nothing more than a waste of time or something to do while you wait for DF. I feel that the rewards from these mini games should probably be doubled while leaving the cost to play them where its currently at.
Triple Triad is fun, but I find myself very confused by it. The tutorial has not explained anything other than matching a higher number against your opponent. So when I started getting plus's and combos done to me I grew increasingly confused. What is a plus? How do I combo? None of this is explained in the tutorial.
Chocobo racing's tutorial left me quite dissatisfied. The initial tutorial race felt clunky and as if the controls would take several seconds to register I'd pressed them (or depressed them). It left me wishing it had more adaptive controls. I was expecting something more along the lines of"mario-kart" considering the game design, but it fell flat entirely thanks to the clunky controls. Which left me greatly disappointed as I was really looking forward to it.
After getting immensely frustrated by Triple Triad and not understanding what the heck plus meant, I decided to go try one of the GATE's. The timer said it had 3mins remaining so I payed my 50MGP only to see the GATE end seconds later (before I even had a chance to participate, effectively wasting 50MGP. That irritated me even further and prompted me to start this thread.
Now this is only my initial impressions. But I really feel some improvements and adjustments are desperately needed. More tutorials for Triple Triad would be great. Not everyone has played triple triad so it can be very confusing.
Just my thoughts, other players who have played the card game back in FF8 might not think so.
The only thing I've actually had fun with so far was choosing my "lotto" numbers and doing the mini-cactpot draw. (even though I lost 20MGP because I misunderstood the tutorial text)
