Chocobo Racing lag?

Anyone else having difficulty with the Chocobo Racing?
Every race I attempt I miss almost every single item, even though I'm clearly hitting it.
I did manage to get the sprint boots once, but when I used it I only went a certain distance before going back to normal speed, but still having the sprint boost appearance.

it is very laggy at times, think its just sheer volume of people doing it.

The real blueshell if choco racing is the lag XD
If ur in the lead then technically ur in the lead till the end as other ppl r probs handling the lag worse than u lol

yep i have so much delay idk if it's the server or becasue i play from Australia on a US server with 370-400ms ping but when i jump the choco doesnt jump for like 5 sec's after.........

I found that mashing the jump a few metres away from floating chests will help.
Because the game is running fine its just that the position updating is wonky.
I.e good ol titan hm/ex days.
Also if it looks like ur driving like a drunk, chances r ur trying to "fight" the position lag instead of going along with it :s

I think this is as intended. This racing handles like FFVII. The "lag" is your chocobo interpreting your commands
, you can train up your chocobo's handling and responsiveness probably.
