Triple Triad doomed to become Cheater vs. Cheater?

Speaking from a computer scientists point of view, Triple Triad has a rather low complexity with a small rule set and maximum tree-depth of 9 moves.
Given the fact, that in most modes the cards of the enemy are also visible, it is a just a little programming practice to write up a KI based on Minimax-Algorithm with Alpha-Beta pruning, maybe it is also possible to do an exhaustive search on the complete solution space. Playing with such an 'aid' will certainly crush most JohnDoe players, because the KI will always be able to compute the optimal strategy and move.
What do you think, will Triple Triad degenerate to Cheater vs Cheater in mid-term?

Take out the Open cards rule and you'll be fine.

I just wish I could use the cards I earned without some retarded "ehh you have too many rare cards in your deck" restriction...

I'm also unsure at what point 'Draw' began to mean, "I keep 1/5th of your money even though I did win either".

Which inside the Saucer I understand they're 'realistically' making a profit, but on the people you play outside of the casino it's a bit silly.

I'm rather glad for it in the long run, but the fact that right now you'd need to acquire 60/80 cards in order to have the most powerful deck is going to give a huge leg up to a very sparse few.

But yes. I believe solvers for Triple Triad have been done before - which is why almost nobody plays with Open against actual humans.

It sounds like the PVP morale fiasco all over again.
