To be quite honest THM resembles an RDM more than anything else.

The reason why some people are thrown off is because in previous FF titles black mages were associated with elemental spells. Sure XIV can change it up and doesn't have to stick to a specific formula, but you have to understand that as of now Conjurer highly resembles both a pure White Mage and Black Mage, while THM is very close to an RDM with it's all around flexibility, and enfeebling abilities.
