    I'm broke! Zero Gil Guide

    Hi all,

I get asked a lot what to do when you have no Gil left. I've decided to compile my suggestions in this video guide: http://youtu.be/3taT-yDNO1I

My general advice is as follows:
    1) Challenge Log - Doing certain tasks each week will reward you if you've unlocked the Challenge Log, which you can do by watching this guide: http://youtu.be/0taUA0tiQv4
    2) Duty Roulette bonuses - You get bonuses for doing duty roulette, as well as bonus Gil depending on the role you are, usually tank or healer. This will also trigger a challenge log reward when enough dungeons are done.
    3) Levequests - Doing leve quests can reward you with both money and quest items that can be sold on the market board. As well as trigger a challenge log reward when enough are done.
    4) Sell excess shards, crystals and clusters which you do not need.
    5) Sell any non bound gear from your Armory Chest that you do not require or forgot you received from quest rewards.

    6) Convert extra gear into materia that is no longer needed and sell the materia.
    7) Check your retainer and bags for any spare crafting materias that can be sold or crafted to make some quick money.
    8) Beast Tribe dailies is a good way to make money and Ixali quests can also help you level up crafting.
    9) If low level progress through the main scenario further as it gives a lot of rewards from a lot of quests.

After I take these steps I make about 75k gil by the end of the video and have another 200k gil on the market board to be sold. It's important to avoid allowing your gil to drop too low. It's a good idea to set yourself a minimum as a safety barrier, I would recommend about 100,000 gil if you are a new player.

If you have any other suggestions let me know, hope it helps.

1 - Pay a RMT site to Powerlevel your character
2 - Give them your login information
    3 - Don't log in for a few days

When I was levelling for the first time, every time I got a certain threshold on Gil, I put it on the retainer. IIRc was 20k gil, albeit back then Gil was harder to make, no gil drops from fungeon mobs for example. Which kinda made me not TP and not buy things XD As I was trying to get to those thresholds to bank more gil. Got to 50 with around 1 or 1.5 million the first time. Habit I still do today, over 100k Gil, I bank 100k on the retainer.

Don't buy gear from the MB for levelling, use GC seals, or run the dungeon at your level a few timse for more gear. Also check leves for gear upgrades, and while doing leves always check the area incase theirs a bonus chest.

How to go from rich to poor
    - grab gil
    - walk calmly to MB
    - go on an impulsive shopping spree of wants and not needs.
( but telling urself i need it in the process )

Or skip all that and spend it on a house or gearing up ur crafters / battle classes.

How to make gil from 0 gil and no gear/ class progression past the minimum requirement lol
    - unlock miner class
    - get free pick axe
    - proceed to farm fire shards outside of u'ldah
    - mine for hours, day and night
    - then sell on MB
    - remember to undercut those nasty bots lol

Oh wait. Thats what RMT mining bots do lol.
But hey at least it works !

i feel like it would be amusing for ffxiv to have a mugging system
-you can attempt to mug someone with any class
-you can only mug level 50 players
-when you are getting mugged/mugging something like a 1v1 duel occurs
-stats are equalized to avoid discrepancies in gear and class
-the greater the amount of gil you are trying to take the greater a stat buff the victim will recieve

not really related to topic i forgot where i was going with this!
that aside thanks for the lil knowledge bomb mithrie

You're still under level 10 and all your gil is gone. You've completed all the quests you can do for your level, and you haven't unlocked levequests yet. You have no items in your inventory, no equipment in your armory chest or even on your body. You've just got the level 1 weathered weapon, and even that's totally broken. What do you do?

On topic, just doing dailies (EX Roulette, Ixal quests, hunts, occasionally levequests) literally every day, plus the weekly challenges that get completed from those, has made me a millionaire. I bought a small house for myself, which took me down to 30,000 gil, and now I'm back up over 3 million. If you can make even 10,000 gil a day doing dailies, you'll have a million gil every patch cycle (a little over 100 days).

Fate Grind until you can queue for dungeons or level into new quests, or hit Lv50.
