I want to make an FFXIV wedding in real life, and I need your help!

In a few years from now, my boyfriend & I want to get married we thought about a couple of themes about our wedding before.. then we had our eternal bonding in game & thought, "WOW! If only weddings IRL were like this"
so we thought.. why not?!

Here's my idea:
Me dressed up as my character (Neko Gyaru), wearing wedding dress dyed "lotus pink" (As Miqote, I'll also have ears & tail as well.. I'll try to even get fangs since I'm a moonie)
My boyfriend in the groom outfit (he's a lalafell in game.... can't really do anything about height.. at least give him the hairstyle & ears)
Moogle pronouncing us man & wife, (person in a giant moogle full suit. i have a friend who makes full suit cosplays)

What I need help with---
Finding a wedding dress & tux that look like the ones in-game!! Does not have to be perfect, but similar at least
I don't know how us arriving on a gondola would work either.. any ideas?
Also, just in case i want to do this... help me find dress(es) similar to bridesmaid dress in game?

I really want this to work! This may seem silly to those who like traditional marriage... but idc.. Rather have fun on my big day & it also would make my boyfriend happy :3

You will most likely have to commission someone to make both the dress and tux. Price will vary based on the commissioner and the materials that are used. You could probably get away with just having the tux jacket made and buying the rest at a suit store (unless you want it a certain color other than white, gray, or black).

Tips when seeking a commission:
- Always ask to see previous works (so you know their skill level)
- Time frame of completion (get estimated time of completion, then add an extra 4-6 months in case of emergencies or the chance the clothes need to be tailored one more time to fit you)
- Don’t be cheap (because it won’t be cheap), if you want cheap go to a Halloween costume store
- Always stay in contact with him/her/them, do more than just email them, talk to them on the phone

Just for the dress alone, expect to pay a decent amount, but it will be way cheaper than going to a named bridal shop.

The whole gondola thing, you would need to find a venue that would even allow something like that first before you invest money into making it.

The brides maid dresses you could probably find a sewing pattern very close to it and just have a girls day where you actually make the dresses and bond. Check out arts-craft stores and flip through the sewing pattern books until you find a pattern that looks similar (check out Simplicity, McCalls & Butterick). Most of these kinds of dress patterns are usually on the easy side (or learning to sew).

Well if it makes any difference.... My boyfriend is full Japanese... This wedding will be the norm for them.
My family is also Asian mixed so they will be totally cool with it.
(of course im kind of joking.... they ACTUALLY will be OK with it ... just making a bad joke.... erm.. nevermind..)

I am thinking you could go to a wedding dress store and find something similar. It can't be that expensive to get ears and tail made. Although you would have to cut a hole in the dress for your tail unless you wear the tail on the outside of the dress but that would look kind of weird

All of the clothes I have purchased from there have been made to order (even the "pre-made standard measurements") and have fit me very well. The materials are good, they keep communication with you, and ship on time. They also have a cosplay shop, which is why I think they'd be more inclined to help make your wedding clothes without breaking the bank.

Thank you guys for all your suggestions :3 I will look into each of the cosplay sites suggested and see what can be done. I also like the idea of an altered wedding dress for a more authentic look!
@Leash yeah, i could possibly sew my own bridesmaid dresses.. looking at it again doesn't seem TOO bad.. though the moment I find cheap dresses similar to them for sale, I will buy 'em out. I don't plan on being cheap! I plan on making this as legitimate as I possibly can, but thank you for that reminder. I live in Hawaii, and a lot of the venues here are pretty chill. A lot of venues even let you have fireworks (that shoot into the sky)

That's a cool idea congrats. It's always better to marry in a way both want and not in a way other want cos that what make the life boring and sad. Enjoying it and having fun is what most important .. and if some people say "WTF you doing. that is wrong" just say "Why? some marry at walmart."
