Most Memorable Moment in FFXIV

I would have to say my best memory ....

ok setting up the scene a bit.. 10 man party most 50, but a few still climbing. Fighting Uraeus for the 3rd time "no skin yet". So we are a bit undermaned.. knowing it's gonna come down to the wire on time...
We go balls deep into him.. BR after BR... killl kill killl... ok we got him down to about 10% left..
Mages are all out of MP.. times like at 3-5mins.And then.You knew it was coming.. buff's dropped, and wham! Everyone; but us 3 mages, dead (smart mages, always know there range).
With not a single second lost.. we all, with not a word said, run and stand front and center, popping barb as we move in... a breath attack!!!!! Smack! Barb popped his tail for the win.. all died but one sole mage with 200 hp left, and that got our LS the first skin..

it was why I play this game.. outstanding.

That's awesome! Sounds like good teamwork too.
I have to say it's have been every time I have logged in after feb patch. People seem happier, and we talk and go run leves together. I enjoy it.

There's a mindblowing lack of content at all R levels, hence why SE is not charging a sub fee for FFXIV.

So I was running outside Uldah right? It was wonderous, stuff was nice, the little marmots were happy and were dying horrifically as low levels farmed them, I was just Autorunning to Camp Black Brush to get to the mines...

Then some sort of dragon ate my face off. It's the welcoming committee!

My most memorable moment was my first ferry ride from Limsa Lominsa to Ul'dah at night during a thuderstorm. It was breathtaking.

Nothing nearly as epic as your story OP. I have a lot of nice smaller memories, trying to make the best of the game I'm given to keep more positive memories coming.
