    Better gil maker: GSM/Cul/Alc?

Just reached 50 on my Cul (was harder to reach than GSM - MB prices are crazy).

Was likely going to make my GSM my main DotH class, but, it seems easier to make gil as a Cul than a GSM. I honestly am only in it for Gil lol.

Was also planning on making Alc. Which one will likely yield a greater reward?

Lol alchemy ever getting gil that's a good one Actually I make a lot of money off of alchemy but rarely sell big purchases, except for specialty items like augments, desynth books, and perfect pounces

Seriously though, while the greatest rewards of all of those may vary, and currently I'd probably say goldsmithing, what is most in demand changes with each patch so there's not really a consensus on what's "best". Though it's a safe bet to say half the time a patch will screw blacksmithing pretty hard, and the DoH classes tend to make the stuff you'd think they would make. It's also unwise to have a "main" DoH class. If you're only in it for the gil, you may want to stick to reading the market board for quick selling recipes worth a few bucks because endgame crafting outright requires if not strongly urges you to max out every DoH class, meld all your gear, and invest a lot of time, hard work, and gil to see marginal profits.

If you just want fast gil go spiritbond materia or gather. Good crafting is an investment.

I'm not experienced by FAR in any crafts (Only carp and cul to 50 and I suck at making money), but from what I see, Culinarian desynthesis is where it's at. I also heard from others that Culinarian may not have a huge profit margin, but it sells faster and more steadily than other crafts

To make it unprofitable for you so you leave my market and I can go back to selling higher instead of having to watch the market every 5 minutes for someone who undercuts me by 1 gil. That stuff bugs me, but I understand why it happens, so I actively try to make those people go away.

GSM is the best in terms of gil/hour IMHO. 3* is where I make the most money with GSM. There is only so much demand for these, so there is a limit to how much you can make on those. CUL is more labor intensive, but you can sell large stacks. Alc can make some money. Last I checked, terminus putty cost 5-10k to make and sold for 30-40k. You can often make decent money by making more obscure ingredients like varnish, shark oil, and mortar. If no one else is bothering to make the stuff, you can get away with a nice profit margin.

Eventually you'll level up all the crafters for the cross-class skills. Leveling up a crafter is always an expense that later you recover. The more classes you have, the easier you level the others since you'll be able to make the mats for the crafts needed for the leves.

You need to watch the market board and find what items you can make easily, sell quickly and at good price, and hopefully don't have a lot of offer at that moment. If some item sells a lot, it's not that bad there are a lot of offerers, since it quickly gets sold. If an item does not sell very quickly, having a lot of offerers may mean the price will go down and down before you can finally sell yours. Best look for another one to make. Sometimes an item does not sell quickly but you are the only one making it and it sells for good price, that's other option, until more people sees the chance and starts to make it too.

Of the three classes you mention, I would think GSM looks better to make gil, at least before very high level. All classes wear accesories, and you can start earning gil before you are high level.

Alchemy can make some nice gil i can clear at least 800k a day from it, gsm nets me 1mil+ per day, cul though i never use Just because of shear quantity of mats needed (it can make you at least 500k+ a day)
Pretty much every craft can net you alot apart from carpenter dat recipe list....all i use it for is primal weapons and 3 star mats
Pay attention to the market on each craft, don't just focus on high level recipes, with gsm i made 2.5mil in one day just from a lv 30 something item XD

If you don't need the gil right away you can just wait it out. When someone undercuts that much I figure they need the gil right away and their item sells fairly quickly in most cases. If they are trying to bully the market you just need to have patience.

I completely agree on this. Before 2.5, ALC was by far my most profitable class. ALC was OP. Then they improved all the other 7 DOH classes in 2.5 (ALC was left behind).
