A way to hide quests from the duty list?

Hi all. So I was wondering, it's possible to make quests active and what not, and abandon them... but is there any way we can get the ability to hide quests?

The reason I ask is because these zodiac quests, like "A Ponze of Flesh," "Labor of Love," etc are all lengthy tasks that clutter up my HUD.

It would be nice to have the ability to hide active quests from our HUD and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.

I'm wondering that as well. I prefer no duty list, in fact, but instead I just check my journal to reduce HuD clutter. I need the list for things like fates/duties though, so I can't turn it off.

Was in the beta test for Final Fantasy but was removed and never readded. Data limitations?

I wish it were possible. It's been requested quite a few times. But no, we can't.

(Actually, it was possible for a while when the game was in beta, but apparently there were some technical problems with it, and SE just removed the feature rather than fixing those problems. I can see how their time constraints while trying to get the game to production-level on schedule might lead to such decisions, but I don't see why they still haven't gone back to that feature and fixed it after all this time.)

They did however implement a chat command for hiding HUD elements:

/hud dlist

This command will toggle your whole Duty List on and off, and stay that way. For the official text command reference, please visit this Lodestone link:

the text command is a band aid. we should have full control of what quests are and are not tracked on the ui.

the ability to turn off quests IS needed and quite standard in any mmo.

at the very least they need to add a collapse button to the UI for fast expanding or collapsing of the duty list NOT from the character ui menu nor a text command

I would also like to see an option to turn off the Duty list *EXCEPT for FATES. It's ridiculous that I have to have the Duty list up to level sync to a Fate if I want to do it, and on a console, that means going to adjust the entire HUD. I should be able to see how much time is left in a FATE if I'm involved in it, regardless of whether or not my other missions are displayed on screen.
