    "Server issues" will never be fixed, it's something the developers will be grapling with for years because of how the game was created.

    "Server issues" can span a massive plethora of possible issues, not just UI speed. It's not like SE can just flip a switch and everything be solved they have to find a solution, then make sure that solution doesn't screw everything else up in the process. It's not something that can be "Fixed" it's something that can be improved upon.

    I should not have started this thread, I knew things would get twisted out of proportion. I just wish we had more info on a topic that gets referenced over and over as to why basic systems can't be improved upon. I am a software developer myself I run a database with hundreds of concurrent transactions a day and I am the sole DBA here. I was hoping to get more info just like everyone in these forums we want (or should want) the game to turn into a huge success.

    To be clear I think we have TOO MUCH inventory space as it is now, I dont' want more inventory space. I wish we didn't even have a retainer(aka where my mog house). I am concerned with the speed of item transfer only and the server programming behind the scene that makes the game feel sluggish when moving items around/buying or /selling to npc.

    Back when the game was closed alpha/beta I championed the idea that SE had tracking/logging code going on in the background and when we went live they would be turning most of that off improving speed of menu interactions. This never happened. Around Xmass it got alot better then it was (think 1-2 seconds rather then 3+). Then again around 1.17 we saw another boost in overall responsiveness (very small boost).

    I think I'd be happy knowing they have an end in sight even if they didn't tell me the date.

    This is the issue that will kill this game if this isnt fixed ASAP.

    Its been a very hot topic the last couple days. At least on the NA forums.
