    Roulettes need better rewards

There is a critical shortage of assistance in lower level dungeons and trials right now.

Simply put, people are capping their poetics entirely via the Expert roulette (for the Alexandrite quest) and then spamming WoD runs because they're after a specific piece of gear for a specific job and the drop rates are so very sad. (I've yet to see the bard body. I ran WoD eight times last week just for bard legs...)

This means that we're losing the expertise of the higher levels, leaving the newer barely 50 folks to fend for themselves. Queue times have exploded for all jobs for specific lower level dungeons, even tanks and healers.

I rolled into Trials Roulette last night because I'd hit iLvl 120 bard and I wanted to take it for a spin. I ended up with a group of people literally half my ilvl who were in there for the very first time.

I'm glad I was there to explain a few nuances they couldn't get from the guides (nail kill order, where to stand to avoid people running from plumes, etc) but I should not have been the only veteran in a Duty Finder run.

Proposal: Give a different type of reward for High Level and Trials roulettes once you've capped poetics for the week. Alexandrite, allied seals, or maybe even bump up the poetics cap for these roulettes only. Or add in some unique bonus for roulettes.

It's unsustainable as it is, and it's only going to get worse until the weekly gear lockout on WoD is removed.

TL;DR players are skipping trials roulette and high level dungeon roulette because they don't need the poetics bonus.

I agree on the roulette thing, but no matter how many rewards you giving other then those and you might create an unbalance...in my opinion. The only one that could make sense are hunt seals.....available only once you have capped the poetics for the week.

    Good luck though

The low level roulette should at least give 75 Poetics as the adventurer-in-need bonus, otherwise people who can run EX-Roulette (which is the vast majority of the level 50 population) wouldn't even consider it; the high level roulette would also need a comparable treatment. The current Poetic bonus is a complete joke. I haven't unlocked the high level and the expert roulette yet and I just spam AK(HM) to cap my Poetics. It's usually faster than the average low level roulette yet rewards 40 Poetics. Add WoD and helping out FC mates to the fray, and there's absolutely no reason to do the low level roulette on a Lv50 job.

The point is not in attracting more people to do the roulette; the point should be attracting the needed roles to do the roulette. A brain surgeon isn't gonna help any when you need fire-fighters. It would make the experience worse to attract literally every single level 50 player back to the low level roulette.

I've been doing daily roulettes for a few weeks now. In my experience, as a healer..

Low level roulette usually goes fairly quick. Main scenario roulette often takes 15+ minutes, even shortly after reset on weekends. High roulette, I queue with a DPS and we usually get instant, or at most, 5 minute wait.

I don't have trial roulette unlocked, but trying to queue for the trials we still need often leads to 30 minute or longer waits at primer playing times - if we're in the off hours, we won't even get a single DPS joining.

High I think is fine, but main scenario/trial could use some more incentives..

I've been low level roulette as a Rogue/Ninja a lot recently and the waits have been in the 20-30 minute range. Honestly, that doesn't strike me as that bad.

In the case of high level roulette and low level roulette. Imo I think no one does it because of level sync. Alot of players want their job and skills up to lv50 for low levels. With the recent ilvl sync for most of the high lvl players dont get the full effect of their gear. I think thats why alot players dont do it as Well

But by allowing the latter causes some balance issues as well lol

This would mean that tanks (let's not kid ourselves here, tanks get the adventurer in need bonus the most) would need to run half as many EX roulettes as non-tanks, which would dilute the pool of tanks and make the wait times on the weekend even worse.
Let's say you have a tank, healer, and DPS who want to cap poetics. The roulette itself gives 45(?) and the dungeon gives 40.
With your system, if everyone runs once a day every day until they cap, with EX roulette being the only thing they actually do for poe, a tank would only need to run 3-4 days whereas a DPS would need to run each and every day of the week, with healers possibly capping out on the fifth or sixth day if they get lucky.
So no, adding more poetics to the adventurer in need bonus wouldn't help anything. There's a REASON it's gil and/or GC seals.

OP, this is a major prolbem but I feel it won't change anytime soon. Unless the rewards are So great that they over-step The Hunts. Now if the rewards were one-of kind gear then you might been able to change the playstyes of some players.

ps: Some players (like me) feel speed running is killing the Q's for Ex/Hm Roulettes.

IMO the best way to do it would actually be to add Allied Seals to the mix. That way people don't have to hunt to get them which will alleviate some of the hunt whining that's been going on. You can get 40 allied seals per day just by doing the daily stuff, and 100 for the week. If Low roulette gave you say... 50? and maybe 10 for adventurer in need more people might queue up. I don't know how much you get for an S as I don't do them and when I do I never get groups T_________T

It would help if they let you run the Dungeon portion of the Zodiac Quests on any Job. I wouldn't mind running 4000 dungeons on my Paladin if I could get credit for my Spharai. Lower Que times? <Yes, please>
