Next time just proceed to eat all the AoE and die. Multiple times if necessary. Blame the DRG for not killing them fast enough.

One way to minimize movement while dodging is to get as close as possible to the enemy, and when the telegraph comes out, go THROUGH the enemy and you'll be behind him dodging the aoe, then you can go back to your original position again.
This only works for a cone or column aoe though. For a 360 aoe, either stun or run away. But then go back to your original position again WHILE the animation is going for the aoe. The attacks only target you when you are in the telegraph, and when it disappears, not after.
When the dps attacks the same target you attack, the mob does not move. As soon as the telegraphed animation disappears, you move back to your original position. The actual attack comes out but won't hit you.
When there ate two mobs, it requires some practice to get them in position. Keep in mind they will always do their attack after X seconds after you pull.
When there are more mobs, just try to cluster them. A good melee will find a way to max DPS and they should know they don't shine when it comes to AoE.
I think you dodge too much or you didn't move back to the original position. But either way. If that guy is throwing a fit now, he obviously issint a pre buffed drg player LOL
