    Dodging telegraphed abilities in PF?

I've been queueing heavily for Expert Dungeons recently, and the past three I've done, I've gotten the same remarks from DPS.

"Tank stop moving. Makes DRG's job harder."

They said I could just eat the telegraphed abilities. I kind of agree in dungeons, but not in raids. I think it makes the healers job just a little easier, and I never really move the position/angle of the enemies when I'm dodging, I think the DRG(s) are just throwing a fit.

What do you guys think? Do you guys dodge the telegraphed abilities when in dungeons? I mean, clearly we can all survive them, but it can make the healers job easier when you dodge. However, the position oriented DPS might get shaken up a bit.

Well, there are three situations or so where this could be happening.

    1. The enemy is alone and channeling the telegraphed attack.
    2. The enemy is channeling the telegraphed attack and there is one other enemy in the group.
    3. Same as 2, but there are 2 or more additional enemies in the group.

In Case 1, the enemy will not turn while telegraphing something. Dodge with great abandon.

In Case 2, the other enemy may turn, but your survival comes first. Try to minimize enemy movement if you can.

In Case 3, the positional DPS should be using AOE anyway, which doesn't require a position. Dodge with great abandon.

    Conclusion: Be a dodging fool.

When I can't stun, I always dodge. No one has complained to me yet about it and I take care to watch the positioning of other enemies as well.

Stun when you can and dodge when you can't, the DPS wouldn't really be too happy with a dead tank either (not that that's likely to happen).

One thing I really hate about these new expert dungeons is the extreme amount of dodging required. As I sometimes say.. Either healers are gonna be mad, or the Melee dps. I try to minimize movement and eating ae's as best I can.. But most of the time, someone will be mad. They may not say it.. But they're thinking it.

Even if the damage is trivial you should always dodge as its good habit practise, melee should also get used to dance with tanks.

Always dodge, move as little as possible to do so.

dodge and dodge some more. why would you eat the attack if its easily dodged, .?

anyways when you do a big pull do they expect you to eat all the aoe's as well as the auto attacks.??

melee dps missing a little dps is secondary to staying alive. plus anyway as melee dps you should be use to having to move for postionals and evasion on nearly every pull... its part of being close to the enemies.

Depends. i usually dodge. If the whm is holy spamming I definitely dodge (and keep two cooldowns up).

If the healer is only healing and just standing there not doing anything 50% of the time I make it a point to eat AOE. If she's gonna be lazy, so am I.

Dodge and move back into position during the attack animation. The mob doesn't spin and you don't take damage.

keep dodging, the moment you die from something red, they will ask why you didn't dodge.
