I've run enough duties to see the good and bad in many players. The worst I had ever encountered was a Bard, right after Satasha HM dropped. I'd run it a few times, but wasn't wholly comfortable with it yet. He whined and complained at everything I did, attacking every single thing I did as wrong. Told him if he thought he could tank without me, to go ahead, and he said he could. I ended up going anyway, the healer and other DPS didn't need to suffer at that drama queen. At the end of the duty (no wipes, not even close btw) he whined that it took too long to down Kraken. I told him "I so sorry massa, I does it rights next time" and left. People. Sheesh.

I think a lot of the more hurried players would do well to learn that a whole lot more can be accomplished simply by not being bent out of shape about things. In a game where millions of different people play, it's pure stupidity to assume that every person you encounter is going to favor your gameplay style or know everything you do about the game.

That being said, it PROBABLY would have been better to not join into a PF group that was specifically trying to farm, without you knowing exactly what to do. If it was DF I'd be more sympathetic (and still am to an extent), but PF exists to get specific people for specific jobs. It's rude to try and hinder the progress of a PF group, because the way I see it, with PF, you are a guest. You need to act as one and live up to the standards that have been set, otherwise finding a different group.

Most likely because the group you were with probably think ilv=skill and they all got geared up doing hunts, lol
It is sad that some people are such jerks out there

Bad attitude ppl shouldn't be tanks, not only are we suppose to be meatshields, we're suppose to be the cooling stone. Wiping is a staple in MMOs, and should not bother a tank, even though most wipes are not our fault(hate control, positioning, and sometimes a tank swap are tanking 101; sometimes we still mess that up), and if people are losing their cool, we should step in and try to mellow it out before ppl ragequit. Point I'm getting at, If the tank gets all butthurt over a mess up, he shouldn't be tanking.

I found the more I stopped caring about final coil, the more I progressed in it lol.

If I've learned one thing about playing MMOs is that sometimes, YOU are your own worst enemy.

So as a direct result of me not being able to target effectively and not being able to tank swap right away we completely wiped... honest mistake and it just takes some practise to get used to... The other tank though... he went absolutely nuts! He was typing abuse at me in all caps for about 5 minutes. At one point he even said "IF YOU EVER TRY TO TANK THIS FIGHT AGAIN I'LL KILL YOUR WHOLE FAMILY!"
The community has been welcoming and friendly for the most part in my experience but I do often run into these nutjobs, especially during high level content like WoD etc I can't help but think that the game would benefit greatly from having players like this reprimanded in some way at least.
Protip: If you hold down L1, you can use the up/down buttons on the d-pad to scroll up and down the target list for fast/accurate targeting. It might be a few milliseconds slower than PC players but it's leaps and bounds ahead of trying to find something with your camera so you can pan over to it.

Thank you for this. I think I'd been stressing it too much lately and that may have affected my performance.

Still, lack of competent engamers who aren't already in a solid static/linkshell has been a limiting factor for too long. (And a casual, disinterested FC doesn't much help either.) I practically made it this far on my own. I can't stop now.

I second that. I've been trying to please literally everybody with my healing skills (which is obviously an impossible goal) and I think overall it's caused my performance to go down more than anything. I'm not saying I can't become better, but trying to please every person I get partied with is a wasted endeavor.

I can understand that. I think sometimes just the grind itself + the nervousness associated with the fear of somebody nerdraging at you makes you play worse at times... I've been there myself as a healer.

People will eventually just have to accept the fact that everybody isn't a super genius with bullet catching reflexes and an amazing mega MMORPG master with the ability to do everything perfectly. This game was made to be accessible for multiple crowds and unless people are doing top level raid content like coil, they need to calm their asses down when someone doesn't meet their expectations. We all have our annoyances but at least be mature enough to realize that not everyone is perfect and different skill levels exist. If something stupid a player is doing is causing wipes, it would be better if these aggressive types try to help it get better rather than lashing out and ragequitting. It's possible some players don't even know they're causing wipes... help them.

If rage players are still clearing the content, they can suck it up that it wasn't done a whole two minutes faster because someone didn't play their way. Learn to like... have fun. Save the drama for your coil groups and keep it out of DF.

As a Tank whos been tanking since been tanking, you please me just by rolling a healer, takes a lot to play either role, and we tend to take the bashes the most( effiing #nerdragers). A good example, my FC pocket healers will strip the pacification I get after Berserk point on everytime, can be helpful especially if it happens during phase changes in some fights (thinking about Solo tank titan ex here mostly) Anyway, I DF something and the healer doesn't. Big Deal? No. should I say something? No, bc ill never see said healer again(presumably) and me saying something could either 1) come off as offensive or 2) Healer is now too worried about missing that that they miss something else. Point is #Nerdragers make our vital roles that much harder and #can'twealljustgetalong?
