It's nice that you are so well co-coordinated, it's fairly clear you have it down to a science being 80 points above any team in an average fight.

You've rotated from Flames to Adders, would you mind giving the Malestrom some love now? Getting stomped every time you play really does take the fun out of it over time, and it's taking quite some time to have our myrid groups in Maelstrom work together.

They already have Maelstrom mount and rank achievements (1 at least, I've checked).

They're only in it for the achievement points and mount. (Unless they live off a diet of FFXIV player tears)

There's a month wait in between changing GCs.

I'd rather they'd stay there and have Mael/Flame premades take it to them.

It's all in their party setup, it's not a secret.. They stack 5 blackmages who all focus the same enemy ( /assist? /focus?), 1 bard with Foe up, SCH keeping Galvanize + Selene SpellSpeed up, and WHM keeping HoTs + Stoneskin up. I've seen PUG Mael/Flame dominate too when they happen to get a PUG party with a somewhat similar setup (who just happen to have quick reflexes too and switch targets to a shared target).

LB fills with assisting and such, so their whole alliance benefits from their solid performance.

Is it only one party or more of those premades?
I don't get what are the others (Mael & Flames) doing...? But then again I've seen PUGs play...

On Aether, it seems like generally either Flames or Adders do well while Storm struggles, but whatever GC that group is on seems to be the one that 'dominates' for the time being because of their party composition and so on. I believe it is just that one party on Gilga.

It's kind of annoying to see things like this happen since it sucks enjoyment out of playing if all you have to expect is constant CC/AoE LB.

To clarify, this was a bit tongue-in-cheek.

The fact is wins swing around Preemades in Frontline, especially in Slaughter when volleys can be directed fairly cleanly and teamed up with chain CC. As I said before, it rips the fun out of the games. It's also bad for the group the Premades are camping it, as the bandwagon they cause flood the already difficult queue times.

I suppose the only real solution to this is to have a new map and mode to attract people to. Till then I'll just be here in corner with my sour grapes waiting for more than one Aether Maelstrom PvP group to surface.

In my experience...

When a group becomes the only PM in a PvP instance they do it for the sole purpose of winning easily and will actively avoid competition. I sincerely hope that if another PM does form on your datacenter that you stick around instead of becoming "bored" with PvP.

It shouldn't have to come to that though. What about people who generally play solo because they are on a server that may not have as many PvPers?
