Leveling up low leveled battle classes a HUGE issue at moment.

So yea first off im new to the forums been playing ff14 on ps4 since last month so im not all that new to the gameplay aspect. So im guessing i dont have to do the story missions anymore right? lol ive notcied leves give a crap tone of exp especially when doing them all at once. Basically my question is should i just stop with the story and just power level the last 20 levels to 50? im a dragoon btw just got it last night. but yea from 30 onwards what should i do to get to 50 the quickest? OH and where can i go to learn more about the terminology? I'll probably find it on my own by the time someone reads this but i'd appreciate any help. Thanks

You will have to do the story. There are certain things that require you to do so.

Continue on to the story since each dungeon progressively gets harder and give more exp.

Unlock the challenge log, doing some of those challenges are easy and will give you easy exp (you get exp/gil by recommending people)

Basically, the best way to lv up is to do leves (if you have enough allowances) and fates while waiting for dungeon queue.

Now that you're lv 30 go to costa del sol and do the leves/fates there. By mid to high 30's go to coerthas for fates---always people there.

The story is so boring besides unlocking dungeons. Should i just hit 50 first then comeback and finish out the story?

You can't really do anything endgame untill you finish the 2.0 storyline (IE everything story related involving lvling up plus castrum and prae), and in order to unlock more of the primals you have to complete the story up to 2.45 (IE Shiva).

So no, you should finish out atleast the story up to Prae.

Well the story goes to 50 and beyond, but for the 2.0 one, once you hit 50 you should be close to Castrum and Praetorium, with Prae being what you need to do to finish the 2.0 story. After that you should be able to start both the Crystal Tower and Binding Coil raids, as well as Relic Weapon. Half the dungeons you haven't unlocked yet levling wise, as well as two primals (and there are four more primals to unlock through the story after you have hit 50), as well as the hard and extreme mode version of the three you already have (the 4 post 2.0 story all start at hard mode and extreme mode comes after).

The story was designed to where you should almost always be able to do it without stop, with only the last couple levels possibly having a small break where you aren't a high enough level, and as you have already seen leves are a great way to get past that.
