Leveling up low leveled battle classes a HUGE issue at moment.

So after a very long time of playing the same job endgame (SMN since it came out), I decide to go and resume leveling some other battle classes that I haven't touched in ages. Wanting to get my LNC/DRG to 34 for Blood for Blood for my ROG/NIN currently level 10, which will be my new main. But the queue time for dungeon roulette is unbelievable, tripled from what it was over 6 months ago. I recall someone saying recently, though not to me, that leveling a low level battle class is almost impossible now. Didn't realize it was this bad. I'm on the 3rd or 4th most populated server in the game, Leviathan, or at least was last I checked over 6 months ago. I know the game has had a massive drop of over 1 million players over the past year and now sitting under 1 million players. But recently it seemed like things were getting crowded again due to returning players for Gold Saucer.

So how would one solo level when dungeons are not an option and not enough people doing fates? Are leves really the only option now? Only thing I can think of is queue for dungeons and solo fates while waiting. Soloing fates is horrid, though I haven't done that with low level class in so long that I don't remember how much experience boost that is a fate.

SE needs to do something more than roulette bonuses to make low leveled dungeons worthy for endgame players. Hopefully they add those solo dungeons they said they were planning sooner than later. I think the best way for them to implement those is keep all of the solo dungeons as low level dungeons since over half the game's population is endgame due to the fast leveling in this game vs player count of under 1 million total playing game. So the game will have a consistent way for low level peeps to catch up to the herd with the same exp output as group dungeons.

When waiting for the DR takes longer than a few normal dungeon runs, this is not an efficient way to level. Go get your friends and FC mates and pick 5 dungeons to get exp in. It's like the DR, but faster.

Lol I was planning to necroing a thread that talks about the exact same thing from a few months back. But I knew it'll be met with smartasses attaching pics of the undead and such.

    Anyways, I agree

It's really not that difficult to level up a low level PvE class.

DPS queues suck, yeah, but all you really need to do is one low level roulette and duty roulette guildhest a day. With those two combined you easily get around 2 levels each day.

And I speak from current experience in leveling Dragoon up to 34 for Blood for Blood. DPS queues suck, yeah, but it's nowhere near "impossible" to do. It just doesn't take as quick as leveling a tank or healer.

    Ways of getting good exp:

    Do each guildhest once
    Guildhest roulette
    Low-level roulette
    Challenge Log
    Leves
Beast Tribe Quests when you get high enough
    Hunting Log
Fates (maybe while waiting for queues)
    Always use food +3% exp
FC buff if you can +5-10% exp
    Rested bonus

This is off the top of my head but it is not hard to level a battle class. Maybe hard if you only rely on dungeon queues and you're queuing as dps. It took me less than 25 hours per battle class this way (at a rate of 1-2 hours per day). Your mileage may vary but in my opinion leves are the fastest. There are leves you can do in 1-2 min. Many of the escort ones, ones where you have to pick up items, ones where you have to reveal an enemy's true form, and ones where bosses summon enemies. Mostly you can do them quickly by ignoring mechanics: run past mobs, attack every enemy rather than use the items to reveal their forms, and ignore adds on boss ones.

Edit: I've found the best way to deal with long queue times is to do something irl: homework, housework, read a book, write a novel, surf the forums... LOL

FATE's are good exp while waiting for those dungeons. Also, there were far more side quests than were needed to level 1 class to 50 so see if you left any of them laying around.

1: Queue for a dungeon with all languages selected (Due to how the DF works, it's always faster regardless of region or server group)
2: Go to a level appropriate zone and do leves.
3: If a FATE spawns nearby, go do the FATE.
4: When the dungeon pops, go do that.

Rinse and repeat. That's really all there is to it.

Not enough actives in the FC with low leveled jobs they want to play.

Thumbs up, though I noticed you already got all yours to 50. Lucky you.

I use to do all dungeons and leveled more than 2 levels a day. BLM at 37, WHM at 38, plus others I last left off, but nothing endgame yet aside from my SMN, then haven't touched combat in long time where leveling is concerned for gathering and crafting.

Lol (lol was at your edit), I already use food, low level roulette, and hunting log. FATEs, leves, and guildhests have horrible experience, except FATEs with party, but no one doing them to party with.

I've already done all low level side quests on main, plus remaining ones leveling other jobs.

I already do this, queue time has tripled and leves are not an option due to horrendous experience requiring too many leves per level considering the leve allowance. I thought FATEs only give decent 'experience per amount' of time in party.

Leves give great exp, what are you talking about? They give almost FATE tier exp and you can beat many of them in 2-3 minutes if you're quick.

I thought about using PF, but PF would be bad since chances of finding 3 others interested in leveling that are around the same level is slim.

You only have 100 allowances, then have to wait to get 3 more every so and so hours. The higher your level the more leves it takes per level. Just going 14 to 15 takes around 8 leves. Afriend of mine tried leves 40 to 50 and said it took 14 to 20 leves per level.
