I'm lost why you're comparing gil to real money... I mean, the two are about as related as apples and oranges. Seriously, stop giving RMT credit for... anything. Though, if you really want to find out how much gil is worth in real money, ask around how much a wedding ring is worth. You know, the only 'legal' means of turning money into gil.
I'm not one to have ever had more than 3 million. When I got the /tell from a Gil seller, I simply had the thought that if someone really wanted the clear, and didn't have the Gil, then they'd be buying the Gil for $30 to give it to the group that is clearing for them.I'm lost why you're comparing gil to real money... Just a thought we play games for a challenge why pay to win? all your doing is filling a criminals pockets to progress one dungeon, why not learn to beat it rather than be carried. And not forgetting breaking the TOC if you pay Real money, which will enevitable get your account deleted / banned and what progress does that give? Nothing, just destroys what genuine challenges you have beaten, why jeapodise that for a single dungeon?
because sometimes it is so frustrating not only in terms of not making it but also in terms of insults received from other players because you dared to queue in DF when you are still learning the fight that it paying for it seems the only option to just move on.Just a thought we play games for a challenge why pay to win? all your doing is filling a criminals pockets to progress one dungeon, why not learn to beat it rather than be carried. Paying says that you dont know the fight and says also that the rest of the group, if they want to be paid, WILL have to succeed so less abandon and less insults.
Although I never paid sometimes I wish I had.

I'm really surprised at how easily people give up on coil. There are literally no mechanics leading up to golems besides placing meteors, which is an EXTREMELY trivial task.
All the mechanics are trivial once you mastered it. Even divebomb marking is trivial once you've wiped the party 10 times figuring out how to do it best. But getting 8 people to that point take a lot of time and practice. Statistically speaking, there got be at least 24 trivial things to get right before heavensfall, and all the players can get those things done right 99% of the time, that still means you only got a 78% chance of getting to heavensfall, and this probably being too optimistic, because something simple like a DPS dying to the lunar dynamo, could cascade into the healer raising and missing a heal on the tank and the tank dying and more dps dynig and wiping. And when you get players that just can't figure out how to stack for divebombs in T5... if they get to T9, better hope the RNG doesn't give them the thunder or worse yet T9 divebombs.
I know there is no way we can prove any of this, but it is that hard to imagine the RMT and clear sellers are in cahoots or one and the same?I'm not one to have ever had more than 3 million. When I got the /tell from a Gil seller, I simply had the thought that if someone really wanted the clear, and didn't have the Gil, then they'd be buying the Gil for $30 to give it to the group that is clearing for them.
And so these clear sellers will get people thru T5 and T9 who can't stack or spread and then test the frustration level of the other players. I've been helping people clear T9 for the past couple months now, and I've seen some really patient folks, and in general once people have their expectation set realistically they will work at it until they get it. The people that give up to quick are those that buy the clears, and the so called farm PFs (which I call pseudo-farm) and they are really meant for each other, the loot for proof of clear does mean jack, and they start pissing at each other by the third wipe.
