    Materia Assimilating and Gear-Sets

Alrighty, so this may be a silly question, and I'm not even sure if this is the correct section to post this in, but here goes.

So I know when I'm selling the equipment in my Armory Chest, I can see if the item is part of a saved Gear Set by the little page-like indicator on the piece of equipment's icon.

Similarly, I know when I'm turning in equipment for GC Seals, there is an option to "Hide Items in Gear Sets" (or something to that extent).

My question is: when I'm assimilating materia, is there any way to tell if an item is part of a saved Gear Set? I can't seem to find any sort of indicator for whether or not the item is part of a set, and this has caused me to create materia from a few pieces that have been in saved Gear Sets by mistake.

I was just curious if this was something that I just have to kind of write down and keep track of myself when Assimilating, or if there is an easy way to tell that I'm just missing.

Thanks for any and all help!

Also, not sure if it matters, but I do play the game on the PS4...

The only advice I can give you is to go to the Armoury chest, and select the item you want to Convert into Materia there. You'll see the little note-page icon indicating it is part of an equipment set, if it is part of an equipment set.

To be honest, until I started answering your question, I've never even USED that Materia Assimilating General Command. I've just gone to the piece, selected it, and hit Convert on that menu.

Well since we're being honest, I didn't know I could even assimilate it straight from the Armory Chest! haha. Thanks for the info! I appreciate it sir!

Yup. Armoury Chest, general Inventory, if its on that little drop down list of things you can do, you can do it to the item directly.
