Frankly, it's a matter of hardcore players get a sliver of things in this game, and the more casual players want to take that away. Telling hardcore players, "There's other games out there designed for hardcore players," is about as ignorant as the alleged allegations that hardcore players want to take away the more casual-tier content. It's kind of sickening to see how much hate there is against hardcore players, or as some call them as some sort of insult, "elitists." Turn the tables though and hardcore players are, "toxic, bad, don't matter," for their rebuttals.
The hate is because of generalizations, like the kind you make in your own post about casual players:

- That they think they can just stand there and win
- They complain rather than learn
- Casual players want to take away the fun of hardcore players
- That all casual players think all hardcore players are elitists.

We'd do well to remember that there aren't just 2 types of players but rather a whole spectrum and that even players that occupy the same part of that spectrum are different. Terms like "easy" and "difficult" don't work well with this game since so much is learning mechanics, memorization, muscle memory, and opportunity (to have 7 other competent players). Every single fight in this game feels easy after you know what to do and practice it. Conversely, if you watch an out of date video guide (or no guide at all), are brand new to the fight, have lag, or other players in your party who don't know what to do, the fights can feel very hard.

Understanding would be great from both "sides" of this issue. A fight is not easy because you personally can beat it nor is it hard because someone else cannot. SE doesn't nerf fights because of people complaining as much as they nerf fights because they possess all the data regarding clears. If they think clears are very low then the fight is objectively pretty difficult even if it subjectively easy for you, especially since some of the clear data is tainted by those who bought wins.
