Striking the tree extreem quest lost!!

hi I took a time out a couple of months ago and I had striking the tree extreme yet to do but I come back and the quest has gone?

I went to try and pick it up agen nothing there I go to gridania to the nps and I see that I must have the quest as I see the red icon thing over the npc's head so I desided to go to the entrance agen nothing there to unlock the extreme so I try and do it on hardmode agen I do it and still wont unlock it for me

If there's a red quest marker over the NPC's head it means you actually haven't taken the quest yet. More specifically, it's red because you also didn't meet a requirement when you went to look!

To be able to undertake the unlock quest for Ramuh Extreme:
>Need to have completed the Defenders of Eorzea part of the main story quest
>Need to have successfully completed Thornmarch (Extreme) and The Whorleater (Extreme)
>Must be in a battle class when you go to talk to the NPC

not at all I cant take shiva tell I have done this one and guess what its not even there as I took it months ago!!

Search your journal for "Judgment Bolts and Lightning", under the Chronicles of a New Era heading.

You may still have it hanging around as an active quest (just buried behind others and thus not displaying on your quick list). You may have already completed it (in which case you need to progress the main story further to unlock Shiva). Or you may have abandoned it at some point in which case you need to go take the quest again - it's from one of the NPCs at the Serpent's Nest in New Gridania.

If it's not in your journal at all, if you don't have The Striking Tree (Extreme) in Duty Finder, and if you are 100% certain you meet the requirements and the quest is not there at all on Scarlet in New Gridania, you may wish to talk to a GM. That said, you said you went to the NPC for Ramuh and they had a red marker - which means they had a quest you didn't meet the requirements for.

I don't know any specifics on that quest, but anytime there's an NPC with that red "unavailable" icon over his/her head, you can just talk to him to see exactly what the requirements are that you're missing.
