    I'd rather the Jobs themselves be more unique and interested.

    Suggestion: Nuke the old class system to the ground.

    I think from now on, if it suits the overall story ingame, as well as can be explained sufficiently as to why there isn't a base Class for a new Job, then I hope the development team choose to omit classes in the future.

    That said though, I don't think they can (or should) remove the current classes from the game, as (A) it's too much of a hassle to to re-organise the story, coding, skill balance, etc., and (B) removing classes already ingame would be like another 1.0 to 2.0 kind of a change, which would seem antithetical to the whole "A Realm Reborn" idea.

    Also, one reason for not having any more classes introduced into the game would be because it diminishes the possible pool of potential jobs that could be added to the game, making those classes that did get added, just forms more superfluous placeholders with possible cross-class abilities, which would no doubt cause balancing issues.
