Predetermined names for Racing chocobos????

I'd actually be quite happy with this. I was dreading having to come up with tons of different names for chocobos.

lol if the normal name for my toon is taken when start a game takes me 30-40mins to actually think of somethin else XD so im in the same boat as you lol

I'm disappointed. I wanted to use the same name as my GC chocobo.
I hope it's a damn long list to pick from otherwise it will be kind of boring. :/

I wonder if they will make the mistake of adding the 3 letter word ''Coq'' (Meaning 'Rooster'...but yeah...) into the list this time around. For those of you who do not know...

This was the layout. So to begin with you might find people using the above 3 letter word with other word combinations to name the Chocobo.

You can imagine the hilarity that ensued with words like 'Ultimate' and 'Rising' in the lists... *snickers thinking about it*

But in all seriousness... I would have preferred to name the Chocobo myself, but if this is to be the system so be it. I really do hope they put far more information on the breeding cards if we also have that same system (Colour, stats, breeder etc)... and allow us to follow our Chocobos lineage ^^

Personally, I'm still just disappointed that we don't race using our companions. Getting to Rank 20 was no joke and they still remain marginally useful at best.

Well, you wouldnt enter a trained warhorse into a horse race either ^_^

Plus, this way makes more sense and puts everyone at the same starting point.

I'm extremely disappointed in this. I already had a name picked out.
It ruined the fun of it in XI since your pet had a nonsense name not of your exactly choosing.

well in the live letter i saw more than 8 categories like it was in ffxi it was more like 15 categories each with about 30 names so it might not be THAT bad
