So much this. Ever step of the relic chain has been useful to me and several members in my static at some point. Zodiac weapon was no different. The way it always seemed to workout was my T9 or whatever weapon was dropped or fed (for tomes/sands) to me and then the next week the next upgrade became available and magically my relic was better again. The good thing about this time is since I did the zodiac quest for both my main and alt I really couldn't care less about my Dreadwyrm weapon dropping and when it does drop, I'll just let it fall for someone's alt. I don't need the dread weapon and I'm certainly not going to rely on RNG to give me a weapon that doesn't even matter since we have everything on farm.

I guess my point is I already have something that is equal to the relic before the quest is even out. I feel like that shouldn't happen because relics are suppose to be the best because they are relics and have a story line behind it.

Even if it doesn't follow the pattern exactly as before, I don't imagine they will introduce a super lengthy step for the final upgrade because the expansion is right around the corner.

But what else will keep us busy for the extra three months after Yoshi-P announces they've pushed the expansion back until Fall?

My theory:

So, it turns out, the actual original legendary Zodiac Weapons that you went through all that work recreating? Yeah, Godbert Manderville has all of the originals. Which he made in the first place. He is so impressed by your craftsmanship, that you've proved yourself to him as a Manderville Man (or Manderville Woman!), and he agrees to give you the original, powered up version of your replica, with one condition: A true Manderville Man (or Manderville Woman!) is so amazing that they can even bend luck to their will. You must win every game in his casino, the Manderville Golden Saucer, to show your mastery over luck itself, and then beat every major NPC in the game at Triple Triad to show just how awesome you are, culminating in a final epic (clothesless) showdown between you and Godbert himself. Only then is the truth finally revealed: Godbert was the Zodiac Braves. All of them.

Once you win at everything, he gives you the true Zodiac Weapon. And then he makes another, just because he can.

It is as ExKage has mentioned. As a rule, we do not release relic information until patch notes have been posted.

All we really want to know if the patch is including the next stage of the Zodiac weapons, as nothing was really mentioned in the live letter. I'm pretty sure a yes or no answer can't really hurt the markets as this isn't answering what the next stage will involve...

nexus wants a word with you back before 2.4 was released and nexus become BIS before new coil came out. 2.51 update will be the same. BIS till heavensward. t13 was BIS for nearly 5 months now. same with high allagan. making it not i135 would be stupid at this point or rather major slap in the face.

There was also that very short period where T5 weapons were only i90, so some were a little better itemization wise.

If the new ones do go to i135, then they will all have the ability to be better than current raid weapons, unless you're one of those people that put parry on it or something (yes, tanks included. Stahp!))
