Fisher's and retainer's gear melds

I heard that gatherers gear is not always BiS for both. Fisher doen't needs GP, retainer needs Gath only.
I heard that i70+ gear and gevel can have greater caps for gathering materia melds than default gatherer's BiS.
So, for fisher it's probably interesting to replace and meld all jevel (gp stats in gatherer's one only), for retainer - all items w/o Gathering stat.
Anyone tried to do this? Which caps?
I think that the most interesting is i70 crafted items (lazy nq craft) and maybe i90 nq

It entirely depends on what. The DoL specific gear for the left side (head, body and so on) will come with +gathering as a base state. The right side (rings and so on) do not.

Check out this site. It will tell you all caps on stats and so on.

Mine use HQ i70 (Astral Ring, Astral bracelet, etc), those can be melded Gathering upto +5.

Unfortunately, i90+ accessories require DoW/M so our Gatherer retainers can't use them.

ilvl 70 accessories can hold gathering +5 and perception +5

Thanks ) it's really better than dodore/militia jevel. And doesn't costs a lot.

Th 70 accessories are the only things that you can do that with, anything else you can equip is beat out by ilvl55 JSE.

It's not just lazy to make it NQ, it's also more practical. If you are overmelding, the success rate is higher on NQ vs HQ.

Yes it does. For fisher the iLVL70 accessoires are listed including caps for the stats.
