we had a new group the other day in WoD, they kept falling like flies. Mostly healers and the tank and melee dps. Well let me tell you this good experience for once,the other 4 healers and two tanks, tried to compensate and pretty much succeeded, we didnt speak, we didnt even say in chat that we would do so and we kept rez and rez, them in turn. The two WHM (yep) of course did have some mana problem, after a couple of death and weakness problem as well, but nobody complained, nobody said anything, it was pretty obvious that most of the group if not all was new well we succeeded we wiped once at Cerberus but is all....so yes is possible provided that everybody play the game so to speak. But most in WoD are there for themselves and their loot, they get their drop they leave, dont care much about the group they comitted to when they entered, that is the nowadays mentality unfortunately, selfish and arrogant mostly.

The thing with tanks in CT, ST, and WoD seems to be based on whether the tanks are career tanks or if it's their alt. If you get three career tanks, then they all fight for MT. If it's all three alt tanks, then no one usually steps up because they are hoping there is a career tank that will MT. Tanks running for the first time will also usually defer to a more experienced tank.

Yep, see examples of stuff like this around every other run of any of the 24 mans.

The big three that I see most often and that piss me off.

1) Lazy and/or douchey tanks, particularly OT's that stay in tank stance while OT'ing and just spam their hate combo. I especially hate this when its WARs doing this since it pretty much guarantees a game of agro ping pong. I am so tired of having to tell people to turn off tank stance while OTing in boss fights unless they are picking up adds.

2) Ranged DPS that like to pull the bosses to start a fight before everyone is in position or sometimes even to the boss room because everyone should just Go Go Go! even if it causes wipes. Yeah I can use provoke+lob but that doesn't really help much when all the ranged dps are now unloading on the boss and I'm have to chase down the boss to try to get in range so I can even hit them to build aggro.

3) Healers that just throw out a regen and then afk. There are far too many times while MTing a boss that I've watched my HP just slowly continue to drop, have to burn through all my CD's to stay alive while asking for a heal over chat and yet still nothing and then I of course go down and we wipe.

Okay, so one more that is sort of like the icing on the sh*t cake. Usually when stuff like the things above happen and myself or someone else politely asks "please don't do X", we are immediately met with trash talk and trolling usually by the person that was causing the problem or one of their buddies.

Perfect example, I was in ST and was MTing since all the others were just hanging back and waiting for someone else to do something and there was this one WAR that kept just 1-2-3ing Butcher's while still in Defiance. I asked over chat if OT's would please turn off tank stance unless getting adds as it makes them do less damage and could potentially cause fighting for agro. Immediately some BLM starts talking trash for the rest of the run and proceeds to pull and kite every boss while saying over chat " look at me, I've got my tank stance on!".

I know that the vast majority of players that are running these are good and competent players and that this doesn't happen all the time, but it only takes a few people being a-holes to ruin the run for everyone else.

Please don't be one of those A-holes.

And you know what? That's a bad idea. Basically it's a lose lose situation with players that are lazy or don't do there job.
Let them die? Sure let me lay on the ground and afk till the battle is over than return and lot on loot. Oh you raised me? Back to afking or doing whatever I want.

Basically, it's the exact same outcome whether or not they're face down. At the very least though, you can kick them after if it isn't the final boss. It's really a matter of not supporting bad behavior in a lose-lose situation. In ST, when I heal, I never heal anyone that doesn't stand where they should (around your group). I am not going to chase after you on a fight like Scylla to keep you alive (because you just don't want to move from entrance), then go back to the rest of the group to keep them alive, and repeat. I would rather vote kick you after if you fail to catch on. There's often a very good reason why you'd be the only person dying while everyone else is topped off. And no, those players are not new to the game or raid when they have ST/WoD/t9+ gear equipped. It's generally easy to spot new players and it's easy to spot lazy/bad ones that should know better.

When it comes to healing, I've encountered a lot of healers that only DPS, expecting the other healer of the group to heal for them. Part of this is, I'd like to think, a result of everyone badmouthing players who heal but don't DPS. It should never be expected outside of pre-made or experienced conditions, simply because you don't know what this person is capable of. I'd rather people stick to their designated roles than them neglecting it to the ends of wiping the group.

I've seen so much lazy in WOD. Every single run there's afkers or auto-attackers. I try to kick them cause I'm over carrying people, but I can't cover it all. Why play the game if you want to make in mind-numbingly boring and screw over other people??

And you get healers that don't heal too. In WoD this week, I was WHM healing and the SCH was trying its best to hide outside the purple line. When called out on that they went in and spent the better part of 1st boss encounter trying to hide and failing to avoid AOE or doom but tried their best to stay out my healing range. I marked them with a marker, so I can spot them more easily and keep them alive or res them which I had to do more than once, and the husband of the SCH started complaining about being marked. It was at that point I asked, "Is the SCH going to heal or res sometimes?", and the husband a BRD, promptly initiated a vote kick against me. Needless to say the vote failed, what was really satisfying was someone else initiated a vote kick against the SCH which passed even when I voted against the vote kick.

At this point the BRD said he was going to AFK or vote kick him because we just kicked his wife out of the party. I put up with a lot of crap, and if players want to draft behind others, I figure I can just solo heal the thing, but if you want to piss everyone else off then I can't even save them. Needless to say we got our replacement healers, things went really smoothly even with an AFK BRD and someone had him vote kicked just before the last boss.

I'd estimate I end up tanking adds in WoD probably 99% of the time I go in there because the tanks are too busy fighting over aggro on the main enemies and just ignoring the adds. It's extremely annoying and makes for a lot more work for the healers. It seems like it's an ego thing on the part of the tanks more than anything else; everyone wants to be MT rather than OT.
