So fun story; I frequently do my CT as MRD with STR accessories. With six tanks, someone is going to step up to maintank - and meanwhile I know for a fact I output more DPS than most DPS players do and still have all the survival I need to facetank Thanatos, Atomos adds, Vassago, etc. ; This might seem silly, but realistically, six tanks in Labyrinth is completely redundant. And in a pinch, I still have all the power to maintain aggro and health to main tank as necessary.

I know this last fact because I've still had to maintank the place twice because somehow even when there's five i110+ tanks actually geared to tank none of them will actually step up and take responsibility.

I see the tank-fights all the time, but I don't play that game. Usually when the MT dies, I'm somehow next in line for the boss even though I've been in Sword Oath the whole time except for adds, so then I'll take over MT until that boss is dead or the other tanks want to tank fight me for it. It's all their's if they want it. Meanwhile, I'll just go back to picking up the adds that the third tank almost always ignores. Fortunately, I've still been in a fair number of runs where the first MT will just give up on the tank-fight too, and then I actually get some help with the adds.

Of course, it can cause problems when the other tanks either DON'T want to MT or just can't keep up the aggro, so they just let the boss run wild until I can voke-Savage it and pull it back. I'll sometimes wait to see if the MT can get it back on their own, or I'm just not paying attention until I finally notice the boss is running around randomly >_>, but when one of my party members is the target, I always take that as my cue to take over. There's usually some grief from the dps whenever that happens, but at least it's never targeting me specifically.

I've seen it worse from people light farming HM Primals.
Had a tank yesterday fight me for enmity, when I had it, they would provoke off me each time and each time I was MT on Ifrit, they would continue to do it even though my enmity output was better. At the end they laugh emoted at me and taunted me, even though I never once used Provoke on Ifrit to have enmity over them, I was simply doing as much damage as possible on WAR.

Later on in the night, them and another healer AFK'ed at the start for three minutes straight so far, so I repositioned Ifrit right in front of them and had him kill them, the tank saw they were being attacked, so they moved out of the way after 30 seconds of this, and at that point I knew they were AFK'ing for the clear along with the other healer, but the one heal actually doing something was keeping them alive anyways. It's not like I can even get them kicked or booted from the duty in time either, it doesn't take 8 minutes to clear Ifrit HM these days and the DPS wasn't holding back.

This is why I am healer. I never feel I can trust another healer to do their job properly anymore. (thank you to the few good healers out there) And whenever I don't play healer I'm always freaking out when I see people's he drop. especially over the last 2 weeks I've been working on my rog, and just by chance I've had cure crossed on my rog from when I do leves, and more times than not on the lower dungeons it's sadly came in handy from either a tank not holding hate and the healer starting to die faster than he can heal himself or the healer not paying attention and the tank almost dying...

Last CT i did as pld...
Ended up taking giants on behe. No biggie i got gear for it. Unless all the 6 healers are sleeping. Mt died, nobody picked the boss so i grabbed it (was rampaging for a good 15s).
No biggie... until i noticed i was getting one heal every 10s.
Time for Hallowed at 700hp left. Still no heals. Hallow ends, one cure, then again no heals until i die. I get ressed by smn, resume on giants as Mt was up again. Then dying on each subsequent giant. These healers....

Oh, no. Thank you but no. From all I've experienced, I can't imagine people using any in-game voice chat (if there was one) for anything else than even more bashing and snobism. Writing out those few words needed for any kind of coordination is not an effort, if someone's nice enough to want to coordinate, they'll do it anyway.

A few members of my FC and I were running WoD. I was on heals and the other healer was in cleric stance almost the whole run, kept running out of MP, didn't avoid AoEs, and then during the last fight was too busy arguing about grammar to actually heal. The raid wiped and we kicked the healer, and the healer we got in replacement was on the ball and we finished with no issues. At one point the kicked healer apparently had made a remark to me that "cure 2 is a thing" (I didn't see it) but then I realized if they were just spamming cure 2 instead of cure (cure 2 with a proc) no wonder they were constantly running out of MP.

Hey Senah, nice to see you on the forums, as well as on the game (same FC, huzzah!)

Actually I was just about to post something similar. The other healer was in cleric stance for most of my most recent WoD run (I went with C'lan). Unfortunately when I politely told him that he didn't need to DPS this boss, because I was trying to get him to help me -heal-, he decided to make a bunch of snide remarks, and I ended up getting no commendations for having brought it up. It was...frustrating that I politely brought up the issue that people were dying because the other healer was stance dancing too much and they decided that instead of just disagreeing with me they'd make fun of me, to everyone else's applause (practically).

I am constantly solo healing in the three CT raids, and I usually don't say anything, even when one time the healer intentionally sat out of the last boss (when they weren't healing to begin with)...I kept my mouth shut, tried to be nice...but oh no, I speak up once...and I'm the jerk. x_x As you can tell, I am still a bit bitter about that.

The answer is simple: Queue times and that Lion mount.

They did the right thing with healers: Level a healer to a certain level - get a unicorn. But not so with Tanks. Healer mount is gay and stupid, but they make a badass mount for tanks then say "you can have this badass looking mount if you complete 200 runs of high level content".

I understand SE supposedly wanting to encourage classes they felt didn't have enough people, but news flash SE, don;t do this. tanks and healers were MEANT to have less players than DPS. We're SUPPOSED to be classes that are played only by people who WANT to play them.

Here is the big issue: I am seeing a VERY ever increasing number of healers and tanks that just suck. I finally started asking some (without telling them that they suck, of course, because I did not want to spark an argument) what led them to play the class they are playing. Guess what? MOST of the time they reply bluntly that they created the class so they could do dungeons without queue times. Some even tell me how much they HATE playing the class, but they hate queue times even more, so to hell with the party, they want their loot!

That is a huge deal, in my eyes. I heal in every MMO I play. I enjoy it. I love learning every aspect of keeping my party alive in every game I play. I play a healer because I enjoy it. I, too, REALLY want that lion mount, but I can tell you without even trying that I would suck as a tank, and so I am not going to try. I refuse to make a party suffer and ruin the fun they are paying $14.99/Month for because I want some mount that we should be able to earn WITHOUT making other people suffer for it. Healers - they don;t have to make others suffer for their gay unicorn mount, but they DO make others suffer for queue times.

So what is the result of this behavior? Now as a healer I have been noting LONG queue times. So have tanks, apparently (a tank in my FC last night was saying he was in queue for 80+ minutes as a tank. Wow!) Why? Because loads of people are queuing up as healers just trying to cut queue times. And they are robbing a party of a good healer like myself who actually WANTS to heal that party. So the final result is: You actually are not saving queue time any more, and you are making other people suffer, and you will probably get kicked a lot (except from raids, which no one cares because the other healer is carrying you so well that no one notices you suck. I solo heal WoD all the time because of Clerics "stuck" in that damned Cleric stance.

So - to the OP - if your tank sucks, or if your healer sucks, then they don't give a shit about their job and they are just there to shave queue times or get that lion mount.

It's amusing being a Warrior MT in WoD and watching the 2 other tanks (usually both PLD, almost always in shield oath) standing next to me trying to tank the boss.
    and then their healers die.
