Why play?

So many times it happened that I tanked adds with my BRD or SMN (it also happened i had to take out Titan-egi for adds), (or in CT it doesn't matter if im in as tank or dps, I'm always on tower duty). As a tank I don't mind taking over adds, I actually prefer them over MT; I have a feeling that I won't be able to keep the boss on me, while I seem better with adds. (ok no I hate the ATMOS adds in CT)

And as Aldora said I noticed also that sometimes healers don't heal their MT, I have actually no idea how people play, but in the end I try to help as best as I can depending what DPS class I am in.

I ran the LAB → CT → WoD weekly yesterday. I ressed healers from the other Alliances 4x and tanks 6x in WoD. The other Alliance healers weren't even trying to keep their tanks alive.

Luckily I always run this with my FC and we have an abundance of healers in it, so i told my backup healer from my FC to focus on keeping our group alive while I sometimes cross healed. At one point our FC tank needed to jump into another Alliance group to pick up the slack (surprise, surprise, the run suddenly went a lot smoother...)

Still for the life of me I don't understand why tanks refuse to do their job or why some Healers prioritize DPS over Heals.

If you don't plan on doing your job, roll a different class as it's obviously not where your passion lies.

I've seen it worse from people light farming HM Primals.
Had a tank yesterday fight me for enmity, when I had it, they would provoke off me each time and each time I was MT on Ifrit, they would continue to do it even though my enmity output was better. At the end they laugh emoted at me and taunted me, even though I never once used Provoke on Ifrit to have enmity over them, I was simply doing as much damage as possible on WAR.


Later on in the night, them and another healer AFK'ed at the start for three minutes straight so far, so I repositioned Ifrit right in front of them and had him kill them, the tank saw they were being attacked, so they moved out of the way after 30 seconds of this, and at that point I knew they were AFK'ing for the clear along with the other healer, but the one heal actually doing something was keeping them alive anyways. It's not like I can even get them kicked or booted from the duty in time either, it doesn't take 8 minutes to clear Ifrit HM these days and the DPS wasn't holding back.
