The need of CC in dungeons is so boring, and not challenging at all..Does anyone remember what it was like having that mage in the group who was a complete machine with his sheeping?
Or, inviting that Bard that was a complete pro at his lullaby timing that it made everything go 50x smoother?
Or, that illusionist that was famed for his ability to distract a group of 7 mobs perfectly while your group could more efficiently whittle down one at a time?
It was a very functional, fun, diverse pseudo-fourth-role that broke up the monotony of the tank-healer-dps trinity.
Please bring it back. Sleep, Repose, and Blizzard 2 were all poorly implemented and not fun.
Theres a reason trash isnt getting any attention in games anymore.

Might be referring to WoW, where mages have the ability Sheep, which turns a mob into a harmless sheep for a while.

Yes please. This game needs crowd control.

CC makes fighting slow. Players do not like slow content. Players want the excitement.
They already complain about the "gates" or the idea of doing trash at all. Requiring CC would slow that down even further.
So it won't happen.

Crowd control is nice because it adds another layer of gameplay that usually takes skill to execute. But, it just doesn't fit in this game at all in it's current state.
CC seems only useful in single player games anyway. Multiplayer is all about nuking things fast and hard.

Can't we start assessing when it's faster to speed pull and when it's faster to just do your job? Just because you are grinding out your relic or w/e the hell and you are sick of dungeons, doesn't make it ok to pull half the dungeon and then harass people when they cant keep up. I'm tired of watching bored, pissy tanks que up with a friend healing for them, and then making everyone else uncomfortable with their drama. If you are tired of grinding, then go take a break, stop lashing out at the people around you. inb4 git gud, i keep up just fine, im sick of watching other people be abusive/abused.

That was never the case when I played WoW or FFXI. Guess things changed when I took a hiatus from MMOs in 2008. Not CCing was punishable by death, or at least a very bad time.
