Granted, now there is a 5 min long despair animation instead.

You can, but the airships take an alliance and 1 hour to make and the driver is assigned by random so the remaining alliance members have to maintain the ship while you put your hopes in 1 person not being blown to bits and perma loosing your airship.

I wish that we could breech the invisible walls and swim int he lake in Gridania and the Ocean at Limsa

You can, but the airships take an alliance and 1 hour to make and the driver is assigned by random so the remaining alliance members have to maintain the ship while you put your hopes in 1 person not being blown to bits and perma loosing your airship.
