Why is talking about rudeness worse than being rude?

I’m sorry, but i’m not sure what you are getting at? It would’ve helped if you left in the part you wanted to comment on.

My guess is that you are referring to this part:

If that’s the case, then i’m afraid that you’ve missed the point i was trying to make. That sentence was not directed to the thread itself but more about the result of the action taken based on the situation(s) i’ve described within that same post.

What i was referring to were the responses you usually get within the game if something doesn’t go the way they like it. For example, i’ve seen a few cases where 2 players were bickering about which strategy to use to beat a boss battle. It started with a disagreement, but it escalated into a heated discussion with lots of indecent name calling.

That was the “fuss” i was referring to.

I never said anything that was remotely connected to a statement that “talking about rudeness” would be worse than “being rude”. “Being rude” towards others is inexcusable, but you cannot “fix” someone else’s manners. We can only try to get along with one another.

4 primal (Hard) runs just today, and 4 lots of loot taken away from the person we were helping. Why? Grand Company seals and synthesizing. Money is more important to people on this game than assisting your fellow gamer, who is new to the higher levels of the game.

I'd lot the weapons for gc seals too.

If you're at the point where you're doing HM primals, you should be able to get a relic weapon, especially nowadays where HMs are absolutely steamrolled.

If you're farming a HM primal for a weapon to seriously use and not just to get something for glamours or whatever, you're wasting your time.

People are mostly ignoring it because of the first half where you basically demanded that others pass on drops for your friend, which is quite frankly ridiculous. Talk to people, ask them to pass, but don't cry if they're not willing to pass on drops they've spent time on as well. You and your friends' time isn't worth more than theirs.

I think you'll find she was on about the second part of what SHE said, which is all about the community not just loot, so maybe you should really read what you're typing/responding to.

I don't see what you are complaining about. A couple days ago we had a new player get their first job to 50. Last night we took her into Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan for wins and she got the weapon from all 3 ... and NONE were for her current job.

Oh yeah ... one difference is since we wanted her to get the weapons for other jobs, we formed a full party and everyone passed to her

Then you can't complain that you didn't get all the drops you want. Or your friend can't complain they didn't get all the drops they want. If you want someone else to follow your lotting rules, then you must preform and agree on rules otherwise you don't have any right to get mad if people don't do what you want.

That said, if you got me in random group and asked me to pass on something before it started, then sure I would do that. But that is because that is how I am. If you asked before the fight/dungeon started, you wait until it drops and I might not. Once again, that is just me though and you can't expect anyone else to feel the same.
