Better gil maker: GSM/Cul/Alc?

No crafting class is so-called a better or best gil maker.

It all depends on what is needed on the market at any point in time, and patch cycle. Different parts of the patch cycle will have different needs so you need to know what people wants at the minimum, and if you have the capital, you can make some predictions and pre-purchases/preparations for materials before the actual patch/demand hits.

Those players who had to keep coming to forums to ask "how to make gil?", "which job makes the most gil?", "what is the best 3*/4* rotation?", probably aren't cut to make gil from the market, or have already missed the time to make the gil (since I believe that all worlds are already saturated with crafters).

Hard to make any profit in this game ... all the under cutting that happens is like crazy , and not just by like 10gil they do it by like 25000gil + like why would you want to cheat yourself :O

Honestly, sometimes I have a glut of supply, and things aren't selling fast enough, or I don't want to deal with a particularly viscious undercutting market, so ill price them way down, and short sell my over-supply. when I have 40 mastercraft demi's, that one mil that I lost by selling them at 25k underpriced, is really not worth my undercutting every 20 minutes for 3-4 days just to sell at full price. let another seller buy it, and make the extra profit for the extra work, and ill move on with my life, 11 mil richer.

Depends on your preference and if you have a supporting DoL or need to buy mats off MB. My preference is CUL only because I can farm my mats, where it makes sense, and craft the items. People may not agree on CUL, but the reason I do it is because food has a shelf life when used so it tends to move faster although at a lower cost.

Take a look at the MB, and make sure to check history. If an item has a ton of sellers, but many purchases chances are your stuff will still move even when the board is crowded. Now, if you find anything DoL related that has no sellers (1-2 star) that's where I make bank. I pull about a mil a day filling a single retainer with a combination of stacks and single item foods.

Do not, I repeat, do not underestimate the gil Alchemy can fetch. To this day, NQ Natron can get you a good amount of money for little effort. Believe it or not, even attribute Mega- and X-potions can sell for decent amounts.

Culinarian is great if you're looking to make your own foods for dungeons/raids and can get you a lot of gil if you can harvest the ingredients.

I find cul amazing in that u can fit many semi-valuable items in the same slot. This becomes more worth it when your other retainer slots are filled with 1 per slot items e.g. eqs.

In my server, 4* Culinarian-made food sells quite fast... For 20-30k each (and each recipe makes 3 food). Thank you goblin raiders !

The 4* GSM crafted stuff sell for millions (1-2mi) but they will sit on MB for weeks if not months till someone buys it. Actually most i sold was not through MB, but by selling to ppl shouting /with a PF up for a specific ring/earring/whatever.

3* CUL food sells for about the price of 4*, but each recipe gives only 1 food, so there's more work involved on crafting those, in a way. (However, you have to have worked hard to be able to craft 4* in the first place >.< )
I'm not aware if 3* GSM stuff still sells, it's been a while since i stopped crafting those for lack of demand. Not sure it changed, i'd say it didn't, at least on my server.

I think tht tge best class is "Builder of the Realm". Best for sale positions ate unstable and can be a product of any class. Item level means pretty nothing too, sometimes some i40 items may get more profit than i55+ greens.

Max price has Tailor-made Eel Pie - 200K, 10-15 items/day, ingredients costs ~ 100K
Roast Canard - 35K, 1-3 items/day
