Any chance the dungeon sets will be dyeable?

A lot of the dungeon sets look really amazing, Forestriker and Acolyte among them, but why arent they dyeable? Yes, there are the job-exclusive crafted pieces with slight differences, whats preventing the dungeon versions from being dyeable?

Or alternativley, the DoM exclusive sets for example, can be used for BLM, SMN, WHM AND SCH? Instead of just the version of Battlemage for BLM & SMN and Acolyte for WHM and SCH?

I think it was mostly throwing crafters a bone. People (myself included) wanted those gear-sets to be dye-able, but there was also a push at the time to make crafting more relevant. So they tried to do both. I realize it's not exactly so simple, but it's not a bad alternative I don't think.

In addition to the dye-able crafting sets, there are also PVP sets that you can obtain with wolf marks that mimic the Foestrikers, Acolyte's, Battlemages, and Infantry as well that are dye-able.

The problem is their class restriction...

Definitely. As the ilvl increases, they will release higher ilvl craftable items for battle/magic classes. That stuff will most likely be dungeon items with different names like we've been getting so far.

Personally, it would be awesome if crafters could take a piece of dungeon gear (and not necessarily their own-we have meld requests already so no reason we couldn't have craft requests, right?) and then craft it so that it is dyable and not class restricted.

Or have it so that you need a crafting class to dye it (so you could 'request' dye work from a crafter)

I'd personally like to see a bit more options with dying. Like dying specific parts of clothing.

The healer of love and justice! (Or the mad/insane/evil/berserk healer depending on who you talk to).
I've played healers for so long that I can heal in my sleep literally (People have seen me do it).
I like to do a bit of everything, but my preference is healing+support (until /that/ happens). FF14 title: Macro Queen

I would expect that if they create a dyeable version, it will require 52 FATES, 32,000 in myth mats, 7 to 8 double mooched fish and a T9 raid drop that has a 2% chance of dropping all for a casual clothing item.

I expect if they get dyeable they will require OMFG expensive 3 star augments like the AF gear has.

I got lucky and got the brd and mnk ilvl90 stuff for glamour at a real cheap price(well relatively 150k each) - though fro mnk atm it's my highest level item piece os will actually be using it once there hehe.

Like a poster before said, those sets are class restricted.

It would be amazing if at least the dungeon sets could be given a dyability option without the needless grind. This game is amazing in so many ways, but it severly lacks in outfit customization. While I understand that most people do not find that to be a priority, it doesnt mean that its not needed. DCUO has a style tab, where you can wear all gear without needing to buy glamour prisms and you can choose between three colours.

I dont see why just making those sets dyeable is an issue, the Cashmere Robe of Casting still differs greatly from the Battlemage Robe. At the very least remove the role restriction on them or keep the role restriction but allow choice between Acolyte and Battlemage. (Forgive me if this lacks sense, typing from the phone.)

This is a very neat idea.
