    FFXIV Video Recording Questions

As some people may know, I've recently started doing a Let's Play series for FFXIV. I'm currently in the low 10s. I guess my first question is, would anyone be able to give me tips on things I should do?

Am I allowed to make fun of the people that fail on the video that will be going onto Youtube? The next episode I have to edit for FFXIV ends with a guildhest where the MNK decided he wanted to tank everything and pulled it. I was the tank. Is it in good taste to make jokes about people like that in my videos?

Also you should check out my videos because shameless plug. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...IbPap2wwRcM4oH

I don't know how other people would feel, but I wouldn't really appreciate getting called out on all over youtube. Just remember, you're just as open-season for that. If you really have to, I'd say "that [job class]" rather than their name.

Like Miakisu said, I wouldn't go so far as 'make fun of' the person, and def not use their name - but rather use them as a teaching lesson example of what not to do.
ex, 'This monk gives us an example of what not to do as a DPS, [insert reason]" then use it to describe what it does/is doing to the party when someone does exactly that. IE, using the circumstance as a teaching tool rather than to point and laugh o_Oa

    <--gives Saseal a ball of yarn :3

Just think how bad you would look if you were making fun of random players in your videos. It would draw the wrong kind of attention and then you could possibly never recover from that.

At a bare minimum at least hide all names except those that give permission. I feel like this is/should be standard practice regardless of the content of the video. Also generally speaking making jokes out of others is in bad taste.
