The gaming industry is mainly comprised of heterosexual males, so it is no big surprise! (Not saying that makes it OK, but there is also an argument to be made for the huge misrepresentation of females in videogames for example).

Well I beg to differ! I think it would enhance my experience as a player. And anyway, it doesn't even have to be exactly the same. There could be a male version as well. But going by this, there isn't going to be one, unfortunately. So I say, "why not?"![]()
Notice how all the people opposing have female characters,
Originally the Sailor outfit was meant to be male exclusive but they decided it looked good and would be popular on females, Why I myself wouldn't wear a dress on my character, wouldn't mind rocking the bunny ears. I do feel that females shouldn't be the only ones to get exclusive items created for them, I feel that either they should be unlocked for all or have a set specific for males and one for females. If men can play as girl characters, I don't see why someone can't play as a Male Roe in drag, half of them do dress as flamboyant as they can.
I'm happy for male characters to dress up in drag, but I would at least want a "male version" of currently female only costumes. For example the bunny costume for men could be black boxers with maybe smart cuffs and a bowtie with the bunny ears. Like someone said they can just reuse the black swimshorts we currently have and that's most of the work done.Originally the Sailor outfit was meant to be male exclusive but they decided it looked good and would be popular on females, Why I myself wouldn't wear a dress on my character, wouldn't mind rocking the bunny ears. It's annoying to me that so many options are locked out to me because of my race and gender. I don't care so much about the racial clothes since every race has something unique. But EVERY single patch has clothes that were designed for men and then made unisex, and then the women get to keep their clothes with men being SOL. I know people think it's needless whining, but it really is annoying. We don't want the exact same thing, we just want what the women wanted when we thought Seltzer was gender locked: an equivalent. We don't need the bunny outfit that women have, but at least give us a Chippendale style bunny outfit! It's getting annoying that because I'm a guy I have fewer glamour options. I'm also a mage, so that kills a lot of my options as well :/
If you want to wear makeup and skirts/dresses, you can always use a fantasia to play a female character as they were designed to be used by.
OP, draw a picture of a male playboy bunny and show it to the FFXIV team. Then we might get male bunny outfits.
I play my gender in this game but I like the look of some gear on female characters
well I found my own solution to the problem
My long suffering Retainer
poor woman gets used as a dress up doll day in, day out
mannequins who needs them!!!!
Skirts and makeup have historically been used by men plenty. Besides, its not about wearing skirts, it's just wanting better equivalence in glamour gear.

I seem to remember a lot of female characters bitching when it was thought that the Setzer outfit would be male only. So yes, stop the sexism and make all outfits unisex.
