To those who make the argument: "if you want to wear a dress, go roll female"; that is not an acceptable solution. If males have to change their gender just to wear female equipment, where the reverse is not true, it's not a fair compromise. These are enlightened times where same-sex marriage is allowed, but for now it's not possible to have one of the marriage partners wear a dress if they aren't female.
To those who make the argument: "you're a minority, so you're not worth the effort"; still paying customers whose memberbase will only grow as more female-exclusive gear becomes introduced. Just because we're a minority doesn't mean we can't ask for the things we'd like to see in the game and get it up for consideration. The glasses lovers get a massive lot of variety, throw the crossdressers a bone. Even if it's hopeless or pointless, if you don't let people know what you want there's no way they'll consider it. This way, SE knows It's A Thing we want to see happen.
I, for one, intend to be optimistic and believe SE will seriously consider this request for the option for males to wear dresses and sexy bunny outfits.

This community scares me with the overly politicly correct bs. I'm on board for a ton of stuff and equality, sure all day. This is a bit much IMO. Quote me, hate me, and curse me but I don't care. Damn forum warriors jumping on the stupidest things is all it is.
SE, don't listen to them please.

I felt the same way, but looking at half of these posts I really think these are people who are just stirring the pot because they can. Just someone who wants attention, I don't think anyone is really concerned or upset. At least I hope not.
People say there is not enough demands and yet many complain about 'this thread again' every time the topic is about crossdressing/women clothing for men/gear restriction. In the last two forums talking about this I've seen more people for it or that don't care than people that are against it; somehow I'm pretty sure there are many more of us than what people suggest.
They just really need to answer us, a simple 'we might think of it' or not could be the start of an answer. If SE was able to do it for a few gear they can probably find the time to do a few more.
Has this been a thread about adding more glasses or high heels they probably would have replied asap...
PS; people have also only showed support to this ideal on the reddit talking about the bunny being gender locked. so far i'm seeing more + than - and most people who don't want it just seem to be scared of men.

You can say the same thing about the "Give characters actual hips" and "Give males Chest Hair" and look at where that ends up.

Those two topics sure had/still have? a lot more support than the actual one, but aren't they actual character/body modifications? I know nothing about the work needed so I might be completely wrong here but it would seem easier to me to remodel/create a few gear than to add a hips option for all races.

Despite how I feel about cross-dressing, all I'm saying is that they may have the same end in that Squenix just doesn't care and people will tell you not to care. Those two topics sure had/still have? a lot more support than the actual one, but aren't they actual character/body modifications? I'm not expecting SE to start caring any time soon, but I still keep a small hope, they did gave male a few real skirts so eh who knows.
But right now I'm more focusing on male gear no matter if they are feminine or not than cross dressing in itself. Many people don't care at all but as someone who really likes glamour I'm being more than bothered by the little bits here and there that some characters get in more and that in the end starts to add up a little too much imo.
The reactions to the possibility of the Setzer's outfit from female players was a huge thing on my previous thread and now that it was just a mistake the 'gender equality or riot' has suddenly died down or is deemed unreasonable.
tldr all i want is a male Chippendale outfit and right now except laziness se doesn't really have an excuse for not giving us one too.
Edit;
And I totally agree with you, when I learned about possible gender locked for both sets I thought it was extremely cliche of SE to do that and was actually surprised considering they have always made gear similar for both gender no matter if they were skimpy or not.
The problem stay still that SE goes out of their way once again to make gear just for one part of their players while the other part would have also want be able to get it.

For me it's not about political correctness or wanting my male Roe to wear a thong bikini. Females have more glamour options than males. Period. That's fact. Cannot be debated.
They need to either
1) Make all outfits in the game gender-neutral.
or
2) For every female-only outfit, design a corresponding male-only outfit.
