    Stop FFXIV Gender Inequality!

    Reference: http://www.4gamer.net/games/199/G019...004/SS/035.jpg

This image has a lack of males wearing the bunny outfit. Every other screenshot features males wearing the same outfit females can wear (albeit with some gender differences), and that's totally OK.

OK, we can't wear bikinis. Or ladies' underwear. I can abide by that. We have gender-specific beachwear and underwear, and gender-specific outfits for events like Valentione. Equal choices for all, just different items. That's totally cool with me.

But we also can't wear dresses? And we might not be able to wear bunny outfits?

    That is just silly.

Women can wear moustaches. Women get to wear best man's jackets. Sailor outfit? Also unisex. Setzer uniforms? Apparently, no issue for girls to wear that! There is more gear exclusively tailored towards females than there is towards males.

That's gender inequality! Why can't us men prance around in dresses? Might we not seduce comely ladies as bunny boys?!

If Hildibrand can dress in drag, so can we! Please, SE, I beseech you allow the men of Eorzea to embrace their desire to crossdress as much as you allow the women of Eorzea to crossdress!

    - Plain long skirt
    - Healer and Caster skirt's from WoD.
These all tend to be more aimed at females, but it's possible for males to equip them as well = Gender Inequality, my fluffy tail.
Another example would be the 'Paine' hairstyle, available for both male and female = Gender Inequality, my fluffy tail.
With so much available to both genders, I'd hardly say SE favors one gender over the other. Besides, if the Setzer outfit is locked to male characters only, I openly welcome the Bunny Suit as a female exclusive.

I agree with you. And in the case of the bunny suit... That particular design might not look good on men in some people's eyes, but they've already shown they can make the same gear look different on men and women (Evenstar Tights, Foestriker/Infantry skirts, Eerie Tights, DRG relic chest, NIN relic gear... The list goes on), so they could have prepared an alternative. And I know, that might be a bit too much to ask now, when the designs are already finalized and designers would have to return to the drawing board to come up with a male version of the outfit. It's just... Why? This tends to happen again and again >.< And each time it's equally disappointing. And here I thought the inclusion of the plain skirt (unisex) was a sign from them that they'd stop doing this to us =/ Should have known better, no?

(Though they could, theoretically, tell us that they're working on making a male version of it and it'll be available in a later patch, either by making the current unisex and adding the new graphics under the 'male' tab, or by making a separate gearset. I'd be happy with either of those, though I'd prefer the unisex version -- less gear to clutter my retainers XD)

1 - yes, and I love them for that.
2 - Healer and Caster only. (Interestingly, the skirt is shorter on women than on men...)

Two items (three if you count caster/healer skirts separately) don't make for instant gender equality when you have far more cases where there's an inequality.
Nor does one hairstyle, though it (together with the plain skirt), could be an indication of more unisex hairstyles, which would be a good thing.

Setzer outfit has been outed as unisex. Lookie here!

A plain long skirt and a healer/caster skirt are both skirts, and not dresses. A spring dress, on the other hand, is a dress. "Hold on, you can wear skirts!" takes away nothing from the complaint that we can't wear dresses.

It's inequality if you say females can wear the male best man's gear but males can't wear the bridal maid gear. Similarly it's not equal if you allow females to wear the sailor uniform but deny males the spring set (which were introduced simultaneously).

Screenshots show Setzer's uniform worn by ladies, and so there is no reason to assume that it will be male-exclusive. If it were male-exclusive, it should be unisex because there's no good reason to lock it to males only.

I, for one, would petition they allow all gear to be worn by both genders, unless there is a male and female variant available of each piece of gear. There is no male variant of the spring dress, and there is no male variant of the bridal maid gear. There looks to be no male variant of the bunny outfit. Therefore, females have a wider selection of (glamour) gear, which is inequality. SE looks to further the gap if the linked screenshot is any indication, and I'd like to petition them to do the opposite and allow males full access to dresses and bunny outfits.

The inequality comes into play every time there's a pair of outfits where the female version is "fits all ♀" and the male version is just "fits all". There are quite a few such, and they keep adding such...

Merely imagining males in a Bunny suit is enough to scar me for life. I think I'd rather keep it gender exclusive thanks.

plain long skirt is not a dress because it is named a skirt? It use the exact same gear model as the spring dress.
